I just wonder what this man is teaching our children. No doubt NPP with a band of numerous lawyers possibly trained by "Prof" Frimpong think like him - warped in analysis, confused in presentation aand unconvincing in delivery on legal issues. With people like "Prof" Frimpong behind the NPP we can now understand the sort of delivery and performance of the NPP legal team at the Supreme Court. What is non-partisan about suggesting 9 independent SC judges erred by dismissing the petition on all 6 counts? Has Prof Kwame Frimpong forgotten that the petitioners were looking to annul votes where President Mahama won, while ignoring areas where Nana Addo won?

This attack on the SC is unwarranted and stupid, coming from a seasoned academic.

William Atuguba and his 8 other colleagues have, forever, created a judicial vessel of endorsing/turning illegality into legality with pseudo application and interpretation of the Law; it is a travesty of justice because common sense says so.

William Atuguba, if indeed you are a man of honour, come out from hiding and challenge the opinion of expressed so far (post S/C judgment) by other lawyers contrary to the 'raw judgment' handed down to the citizenry and taxpayers who pay your salary.

How could someone ask for valid votes of some 4 million voters to be nullified because of so called duplicate serial numbers which are not covered by our electoral lawyers? Is it any wonder that none of the justices granted them this relief? How do u nullify legally cast votes just because some electoral officer did not sign pink sheets? Is it the case of seeking to be president through the back door? Where did this man learn his law? These guys need to shut up and bow their heads in shame.

Note that the polling agents role came out of mistrust for the EC. So their role in itself is unconstitutional to the point that they are not mentioned in the constitution so in my layman's view and according to your analogy, all previous elections are unconstitutional, flawed and must be annulled. Let common sense prevail and stop being overly academic. The judges did their job in maintaining the sanctity of the state and did not rely on any technicality to destabilize the state. Let the petitioners and respondents learn and fashion out ways to improve the system of elections and do well to get out of your confusion, sir!

But I have come to accept the SC ruling on one and only one ground. The unseen hand of disproportionate mayhem that could have been unleashed on the land had the ruling gone the other way! A stark opposite of what Nana Addo's magnanimous concession has brought on. So quite painful, justice seems to have been bruised but our current socio-political setting may be just deserves the ruling. Sad but ok!

One would have thought that the Supreme Court will be the place where common sense are common, but it appears, in Ghanas SC, foolishness must rule. Eiibei! My kookoasekruasenee common sense teaches me that when you are producing a report of any kind, you first have to cure it of any errors before you can validly declare same. When it comes to elections, I believe, before the results are declared, any errors, be it administrative or whatever need to be cured before the final declaration. The EC said there were no ERRORS of consequence, and went ahead to declare the results, despite admonitions by the NPP to the contrary. Thenthe EC refrain, GO TO COURT! In court it was proved beyond doubt that there were ERRORS, to the extent Atubuga at the end, pontificated, "going to court is jot easy". The EC admitted many many ERRORs, so also the Counsel for NDC and Mr Mahama. So my question is, how could the EC have declared an ERROR Election for one competitor? My common sense tells me that since the process was not cured of the ERRORS any declaration was invalid. The SC should not have labored so much and for so long to have declared that there were so much ERRORS so the declaration was in ERROR. Strangely, they also made the biggest ERRORS of all ERRORS, in their declaration. So how we have Error Elections, Error declaration, and Error Judgement. "na ye kooye anaa ye baa ye" learned people indeed!!

THAT GOOD LAWYERS/COUNSELS MAKE JUDGES WORK EASY AND THE SAME APPLIED TO THE 2012 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS PETITION WHEN SO MANY THOUSANDS PAGES OF DOCUMENTS WERE HEAPED ON THE JUDGES WITH LITTLE LAW, THAT WAS THE MAIN REASON THAT I MADE THE CASE EXTENSIVELY THAT THE WHOLE ISSUES WERE "QUESTION OF LAW AND NOT PINK SHEETS?"
THAT THE SUPREME COURT ESPECIALLY THE MAJORITY DECISION MOVED GHANA FORWARD WHILE THE MINORITY DECISION DREW GHANA BACKWARD.
THEREFORE, ON THE WHOLE THE SUPREME COURT IF THE RESPONDENTS HAD RAISED A PRELIMINARY CHALLENGED TO THE PETITION BASED UPON LAW THE COURT WOULD HAVE DISMISSED THE FRIVOLOUS PETITION.
WHAT THEN IS DEMOCRACY? AND JUST TO USE ABRAHAM LINCOLN DICTUM, "GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE AND BY THE PEOPLE" WHICH HAS BEEN CRYSTALIZED TO THE PREAMBLE OF GHANA 1992 CONSTITUTION AND PROVIDES AMONGST OTHERS AS FOLLOWS:"---THE PRINCIPLE THAT ALL POWERS OF GOVERNMENT SPRING FROM THE SOVEREIGN WILL OF THE PEOPLE THROUGH UNIVERSAL ADULT SUFFERAGE---"
WHAT THEN IS JUSTICE? JUSTICE IS FAIRNESS AND WOULD IT BE FAIR TO THE MILLIONS OF INNOCENT GENUINE VOTERS WHO CAST THEIR GENUINE VOTES TO ANNUL THEIR VOTES?
WHAT IS TRUTH? THAT TRUTH IS TRUTH THAT NANA AKUFO ADDO LOST THE ELECTIONS AND IT WAS ALSO THE TRUTH THAT H.E.PRESIDENT JOHN DRAMANI MAHAMA WON THE ELECTIONS AND THE TRUTH PREVAILED BOTH AT THE BALLOT BOX AND THE SUPREME COURT OF GHANA.

For the information of Dr Frimpong, there were no "ILLEGALITIES" in the presidential (and parliamentary polls. This is a complete disgrace coming from a so-called professor. There were ADMINISTRATIVE ERRORS and omissions e.g of signatures by officials.

Clerical errors which were not orchestrated by anyone nor were they planned in any way, systematic (and systemic) and what we were presented with were selective examples which automatically introduce BIAS in analysis and any conclusions drawn.
The judgment was the right one and those who should be held to account for 'retarding' our democracy are the justices who saw any sense in supporting the petitioners' case at all.

It is they who should be questioning their consciences, and their own judgment. They sought to derail our democracy but the majority prevailed. Frimpong and his like are completely out of order and frankly, they should stop crying over 'spilt milk' and fomenting doubt and dissent among the general populace and NPP supporters in particular.

The NPP should look elsewhere for the reasons why they failed to win the polls, having been so sure of themselves. It is pleasing to see they are beginning to put their act together towards their congress and EDUCATION OF THEIR ELECTORAL OFFICIALS!!! something they failed woefully to do at the last polls.

They still have to repair their image before Ghanaians and if their supports like Dr Frimpong will continue to advance these silly arguments, then I suspect the electorate will punish them severely, come the next polls.

You mark my words - I wish the NPP would simply wake up and realise that there are always winners and losers in elections and for them to think that democracy is only advanced when they win is ridiculous and frankly an insult to our very democracy.

In which case the acceptance of the claim would have call for re-election, a least at the affected polling stations. The denial would have meant The president was the true winner. The SC judge forgot their head for 8 months and like all our corrupt leaders, it resulted in twists and turns before their bogus judgement. Yet the stupid and incompetent gov't is blaming the case for causing the downturn in the economic. Look at what is happening in Maldives. God should judge the SC with thunder or serious diseases.

- how now that, Kwame Frimpong is talking about stone age?; he ought to have known that, it was terrorist Akim JB Danquah's UP that 'killed' Kwame Nkrumah to set Ghana back a thousand years?

I think the NPP were dubious in filing this petition to have the victory of John Dramani Mahama annulled . If they believed that Akuffo Addo won but the Electoral Commissioner wrongly declared Manama victorious , why didn't they petition the Supreme Court to compel the EC to bring all alleged ballot boxes to be openly counted vis a vis the pink sheets that were recorded at the polling stations on 7 & 8 December , 2012 ? Not only that but also the fact that a different figure was recorded by KPMG should have necessitated the SC dismissing the petition if you insist on the annulment of the results not signed by the Presiding Officers. By the way , what would have been the punishment for such officials ? Prof. , don't you also realise that such officials, if they chose to become overly partisan , could refuse to sign future pink sheets if the results did not favour.his party knowing very well that his lack of signature would get the results annulled if the losing party went to court ? So Prof., you want to keep a straight face that for well over fifty thousand polling agents that the NPP fielded to oversee their interest , not a single agent could see that they were been shortchanged .? By the way I don't think the SC judges had any business arguing out the Petitioners case ( if any ) for them .
Prof , seriously speaking , if a star witness appeared before you claiming he wasn't there when an alleged crime was being perpetrated , would you take that lousy witness serious in the face of vehement denial by the alleged perpetrator ? its a human institution and there are bound to be oversights and in some case adjunct provocateurs will seek to cause trouble.

Do we say because someone who as an ulterior motive failed to sign a silly pink sheet, my valid vote should be annulled.

what about a scenario where Kofi intentionally places a parliamentary ballot in the presidential box leading to an over vote ? don't you think we should use the inherent checks to fish out the problem vote rather than record this on the face of the pink sheet has an over vote. (this will lead to an automatic cancellation if people are mischievous)
you see, your understanding of electoral matters rather is a recipe for mayhem. I rest my case
