Let us get to the bottom of this and bring the culprits to justice buy retrieving the stolen money and its associated interest starting at the time of the crime as if they had borrowed the money from the bank and a corruption charge that will pay for the cost of the investigation and prosecution. Because it is endemic in both parties the convicts should be banned from any pubic office for eight year after payment of the last peswa to serve as a their judgement debt paid to mother Ghana. This will encourage the Martin Amidu type to rule the country with distinction and relieve the poor masses in particular and establish a clean cleaned country we all want.

Dear President Mahama, please deviate from the 'status qou' and do something new. Do not follow the previous presidents (except President Rawlings)who only left a legacy of favoritism, corruption, open thievery and nepotism.
Former President Kufuor only left a legacy of looting state properties, cronysm, naked corruption and fraudulent administration.
President Mahama, please do not be afraid to order the Attorney General ( a very upright lady)to prosecute all offending people. How could loud mouthed K.T. Hammond pay a huge sum of 1 million pounds sterling as legal fees to a company in the UK where he is reported to have worked whilst in the UK. Who negotiated the legal fees and was it the lowest he could have paid to any solicitor in the UK for same job.
President Mahama, please the recent exposure of fraud, both previous and present is giving hard-working and loyal Ghanaians a headache, and therefore you should act now and decisively.I wish to remind you that, ours is an executive presidency vested with all the powers of state.
Presidents are remembered for uprightness and exactitude and for their full application of laws rigorously.

I am yet to read a single comment or critical examination of this very serious saga which is at the heart of the Kufuor government's own performance. Where are all the NPP and other people who are quick to insult the current government and to accuse it of corruption?
Where are the president's critics who are quick to talk of his "incompetence" and corruption? Have they lost their voices? Have their ink run dry? are their computer screens frozen? Have they lost their nerve? Or is this one off their radar or unimportant?
I have always argued that no single government in Ghana is free of corruption and we need a root and branch approach to dealing with it and to establish a meritocratic, honest and transparent national process to ensure good governance.
It has nothing to do with party, but more to do with moral leadership and integrity in and out of government. This has no party colours but the colours of our nation Ghana. When you talk about corruption, be spefic and deal with the real issues. Stop the name-calling and blame-game for it does no good to anyone.
By the way, the chief of national protocol in Singapore (known for its squeaky clean good governance profile) has just bee arrested for fiddling the number of bottles and pineapple cones in his orders for state protocol and incurring about US$100,000 to the state.
In South Korea, the Safety Officers of their nuclear facilities have been indicted in a massive corruption scandal involving forged or false safety certificates. The long and short of it is that we all have to be vigilant about corruption and it knows no boundaries.
To argue that one party is corrupt and the one not in charge is not corrupt is not simply a fallacy, it is grossly hypocritical and quite frankly unhelpful to our efforts to uncover wrongdoing so that we can institute corrective measures.
I personally believe that until and unless we begin to address these issues properly (without party politics clouding judges' decisions) and imprison people for such wrongdoing, we will continue to suffer. I am already reading nonsense from mostly opposition figures inviting the "army to intervene" like "Rawlings did" (thus giving some credence to JJ Rawlings' intervention of 1981 which by all accounts was wrong and should have been punished).
The military "have no political mandate" (to quote the Osagyefo Dr Nkrumah) and frankly, if we go by their own track record in Ghana (and elsewhere in Africa, Europe e.g. Portugal, Greece, Spain) and Latin America, not to talk of Asia, they often come in to "weed out corruption" but leave a trail of massive corruption of the worst kind (presumably because they rule by the gun). Their track record is so appalling that to even suggest that they should be the 'vanguards' of our national governance of integrity is most bizarre and an insult to our democratic institutions.
All those who suggest such are being foolish, selfish and hypocritical and only do so because they do not like the people in charge and feel that is the only way to get rid of them, in the hope that it would give them some leverage themselves. They couldn't be more wrong in their dreams!!!
Let us see corruption as an ingrained disease affecting nations including ours, and let's hold all those who enter public office into account by having a transparent process which vets them before and after their stewardship.
A national annual league table showing who is who and what they have will be good for starters. Policed without party political influence, biases and interference.
We need integrity in our system and I believe we deserve one and must demand it!!!

Should it be a thing of forcing somebody to agree that the NPP as a political party is there to steal/rob Ghana, as it had been clearly and vividly seen by all genuine concerned citizens of Ghana. At this stage a wise and knowledgeable man will intelligently ask if the NPP has any legal right to question the under year old government of Mahama of anything in relation to Ghana's economy, and even to the extent of talking about corruption with the evil spirit minds of hypocracy. Why have they dubiously and deceitfully been much engaged in criticing Mahama at every corner.
Even besides K T Hammond fronting for Kufour over many issues of robing Ghana's properties, it is also very evident of the way his people robbed Ghana and also how Kufour himself conducted his direct robbery of our nation. He stole/robbed Ghana through his stealing smart strategy of travelling outside Ghana many times with large entourage, all of them collecting per diem monies in dollars leaving Ghana languishing in debts.
Painfully, stupid Ghanaians failed to question the rationality of Kufour's smart stealing that he adopted while in government. Instead many of you foolish and stupid Ghanaians called him GENTLEMAN, while recently some said he is the most selfless president in Ghana.
I see many of you as village minded people who support wrong things and people and shun good people due to low mentality reactions of tribal and political party bigotry and personality inferiority complex. Finally Ghana really has a big problem beause the people within Ghana even do not know that Ghana is their God given property therefore there is the need to take care of it. Lets wake up from sleep and see how we can help stop these crooked politicians who have hypnotised the populace into believing their selfish ideas.

KT Hammond has already presented documents on the sale of the D511 and the disbursements that were made out of the proceeds. What we are missing so far are the details of the $3.5m that he allegedly paid into the coffers of the state through the Ministry of Finance and the Accountant General. Even if the two ministries in Ghana are so hopeless that they cannot find their documents, why can't the sole commissioner apply officially to the bank for the details of the escrow account?
KT Hammond can then explain to the people of Ghana how his former employers charged $1m for eight weeks' work in 2001!
If social commentators applied the same level of concern they have applied to this case to Woyome, GYEEDA, the purchase of aircraft and other recent deals, the Ministry of Finance would probably not be taxing condoms and cutlasses today.

I thought K T Hammond and Kan-Dapaah have offered to appear before the Commission with their documents. This is not corruption until they fail to explain themselves. If we were to do this across board for all alleged wrongdoings, we would be on our way to holding people accountable.
I am very positive that some of the account here are not correct but we have to wait.
I also do not understand why we appear to be beating about the bush. If documents cannot be found in Ghana, can we niot request for them from the UK court, the firm of lawyers, the Norwegian company that bought the drill ship. It seems to me that peopel want to play mischief with this whilst ignoring other more recent ones where records are bound to be available.
Mr Kan-Dapaah has said that he is prepared to be sanctioned if it is found that they did something wrong. Let us wait for things to unravel. I wish the same attends GYEEDA, Woyome, Mabey & Johnson, etc.

I have said it from the time information on thje sale of the drill-ship and other GNPC assets that every transaction was done in a very opaque manner by the most corrupt President in Ghana's history, Mr J.A. Kronfour and his NPP. How can a minister go and sell a ship single-handedly if not for corrupt intentions from the highest authority of the land. NPP are now shouting hoarse about corruption but they saw nothing wrong in Kuffour appointing his junior brother as Minister of Defence and also buying a hotel as a sitting president. Indeed NPP is the most corrupt political group in Ghana and can never be trusted with our oil money. They are so peeved the lost the elections and are doing everything under the sun to ensure they run Ghana down. Ghanaians must reject the NPP and their associates if they want development. They talk of vison but they mean their pockets. I am from the hinterland and nothing changed in Kuffour's 8 years in power for our people except the corrupt ministers.
