Can these politicians be specific about where you can invest. Ghanaians are only good in presentations when nobody can preserve simple things like nkontomire. oh ya Mahama, tha's why I will die in America.

Just as well as is good to invite foreign investors, govt should not kill private local business.I don't see any sense for govt to ban the importation of some essential second hand goods, fridges, tyres, cloths etc.Besides,so many laws are put in place to stifle some traditional business as well, fishing for example.Govt must monitor all these suppression and evaluates the negative socio-economic impact on the people.Everybody must take part in the nation building. After all, this local business is what employs the youth.I think the NDC govt is not friendly to local entrpreneurs, they should better review all the useless bans.Thank you.

I am a Ghanaian living in Chicago and I was at the Summit from 8th till the closing ceremony on the 11th of October. 1. It is not true that Ghana's presentation was the best attended and it received a double standing ovation.
2. In the evening of the 8th, the GIPC Boss Mawuena Treba and the minister of trade were fighting on who should deliver the keynote address. These two high ranking officers of the country argued about this topic for hours and it took the efforts of our ambassador to the U. S. Daniel Ohene Agyekum to bring the two of them to agree on what to do. Eventually the minister was "allowed" by the GIPC boss to present the keynote address. GIPC which was supposed to be the lead institution had no credible program, and the ambassador had to take up the mantle to moderate the program to ensure that Ghana was not totally humiliated. All the presentations made at the Ghana day was just like a joke. At the closing ceremony, most of the Ghnanaian delegation had already left the McCormick Convention Center, both the minister and GIPC boss had left the U. S. two days earlier. I visited the Ghana High table during the closing ceremony and notice that there was only three private Ghanaian citizens who had attended the summit on their own, sitting at the table where the GIPC, the Ambassador, and the other high ranking officials were supposed to be seated. There were a few officials from ministry of trade and EDIF sitting another table, and the rest were all gone. At the appropriate time, I shall write a detailed report the presidency to let the president know how the tax payers' money is being thrown away on useless officials whose only interest is to collect per diem and spend the country's borrowed money on USD350/night hotels like HYATT when they could have spent USD180/night at hotels close by and still attended every session of the summit. This nice publication about the summit shows why Ghana is not going anywhere. Ask anybody who attended the Nigerian presentation and they will tell you how their presentation was received, how the auditorium was filled to capacity, how many questions were fielded and how they were answered to the satisfaction of the participants. GOD SAVE GHANA FROM THESE USELESS OFFICIALS!

Some of our Official don't do the right things but turns around to give the impression as if all was well. And they always have the support of a bogus media or press corps to write equivocation to us.Imagine the distance from Ghana to Chicago,if Mawunyo was not there !
Waste of Tax payers funds.
This is not the first time this happened. When Ghana sent someone to represent the Country on a HIV/AIDS Conference in the U.S.sometime past, this executive ended up sleeping with a Woman without using a Condom.Imagine the Stolen Taxpayers money that was involved.
It's time Ghana stop deceiving herself as the torch bearers of Africa. We are Sincerely not.
