Kwesi Pratt is the most dangerous Journalist Ghana had ever have, he had the gut to recommend his fellow journalists to be executed by PNDC. Pratt even recommended Baako to be killed by the regime, thank God Baako was instead touchered violently and severely but his life was spared. This is what Kwesi Pratt can do. Now Pratt is a secret agent to NDC and US Embassy in Ghana. May God forgive Pratt and spare him the untold evils that will come upon him and his generations. The souls of those journalist killed through Pratt's recommendations to PNDC will never forgive Pratt. It is already well-known that medical practitioners and pharmacists are rewarded by pharmaceutical companies for prescribing their drugs. The MoH should go and investigate why nurses at Korle-Bu were not paid for two years. They should investigate the rot at the ministry itself. We need to build viable institutions and not change the rules to satisfy few people. We are talking of our health here not political expedience. Only the WHO has the capacity to review the work of the FDA. Shame to the Ministry.

Post market surveillance huh? It's extremely worrying the fact that, the drugs, condoms etc, etc, can come in through the ports, without the express knowledge of the FDA. The man said "this process involves manufacturing site verification, dossier evaluation, quality assessment of samples of the medicines, and this is carried out by experts who are well trained in this field”.
So did the FDA go and check the condoms that were brought in, did the FDA go and check the malaria medicines that were brought in? How did they get cleared and what were the documentation to facilitate it's clearance? Who signed off on the dotted line to allow the items into the country?
There are two players in the game and it is becoming increasingly clear that, the FDA wants to shift the obvious melee completely onto the secondary players.
The rot in the FDA is stinking, the corruption fueled activities of the CEO is abhorrent, and the situation where, the CEO of the FDA shirks his oversight responsibility, because of the huge financial inducements a la corruption, effectively putting the lives of Ghanaians at risk is completely untenable.
His inexperience, lack of knowledge and training, and the requisite expertise to stem the tide of rot, which he's obviously implicated in, at the expense of the health and well-being of the citizenry, is completely unacceptable. Ghanaians cannot afford to allow a scheming, conniving, corrupt CEO of the FDA to put their lives in harms way. As is usually the case, politics is being introduced into the issue, at the expense of the critical and needed restructuring of the institution, to address the very concerns that have been raised.
The CEO of the FDA is completely unfit for the office and the time for the Mahama-Amissah Arthur administration to act is now, to safeguard the lives, health and well-being of the masses. We have not even gone into the food aspect of their mandate, which is equally rottenly stinking, all under the aegis of the CEO of the FDA.
