This is to bring the performance of the Director of Human Resource directorate to your attention. Director of Human Resource was appointed to the position about a year ago. And his first activity covered recalling of the last appointment letters carried out by the previous Director of Human Resource. He recalled the appointment letters of all including people even working at the head office -MOFA and asked them not to report to work again. His reasons were the dismissal were that, they were not properly recruited/replaced, and again the government did not have money to pay them. This action came to the attention of the then Minister of Food and Agriculture, who after investigation asked him to reverse his action. Today the Director of Human Resource is giving appointment letters without interviews. This is verifiable.
I did not personally understand why certain persons have been transferred from his Directorate and my investigation found out that, the accountant asked him to transfer certain persons so that the management of Capacity Development Mechanism Project (CDMP) fund could be well controlled.
Kindly find out financial reports presented by the Director of Human Resource on all training programmes carried out under the Capacity Development Mechanism project for the Ministry of Food and Agriculture. Trainings carried out in ‘two days’ have been reported to have been carried out in ‘six days’ and huge monies are being shared by him and the accountant. This is verifiable. Pick an agricultural college, and find out how many days the training under the CDMP took place. Find out the history of the Australian volunteer posted to the Human Resource Directorate to strengthen the HR needs of MOFA, and why she has been reposted from the Directorate to the Public Services Commission. This is bad for MOFA,
Currently the Director of HR is struggling to transfer another staff working closely with him and this is unacceptable. Why is he transferring all the senior and technical people from the directorate?

Even though they realize their failure? International news headlines over the last couple of days have been partly dominated by the tragedy of immigrants, mainly from Africa, dying en masse in a desperate bid to reach Europe.
Just over a week ago, a ship carrying immigrants from Libya en route to Italy capsized near the island of Lampedusa, killing at least 350 people. In the days following that incident, scores of more immigrants have died while hundreds have been rescued from boats heading to Lampedusa, Malta or Sicily in the Mediterranean Sea.
The Maltese prime minister captured the tragedy succinctly when he said the Mediterranean Sea was becoming a large cemetery for African immigrants. It is a big shame that Africans have to subject themselves to such extreme dangers in order to reach Europe, which many believe is the biblical Promised Land.
It's, indeed, a statement about how bad their living conditions are at home, that they must consider such a dangerous option. Apart from countries like Somalia and Syria, where the security situation has been understandably generating refugees, there is no reasonable explanation why a country should produce so many refugees other than mismanagement by such a country's leaders.
One of the countries with a large representation at Lampedusa is apparently Eritrea, whose citizens appear to be in a hurry to leave every time an opportunity presents itself. Yet this is not about Eritrea, as many Ugandans would jump at the opportunity to leave as well.
What is more straightforward, though, is the direct relationship between bad governance, poverty and insecurity, and a strong desire to flee one's country no matter the risks involved. Thus a country's high propensity to generate desperate immigrants says something negative about its leadership.
The head of a home whose children are always looking out for the easiest opportunity to escape is a failed parent. Similarly, the leader of a country whose citizens would rather die on cold foreign seas than stay at home is a failed leader.
Unfortunately Africa has too many of the latter, which is such a shame and a tragedy. Yet the bigger tragedy is that they won't admit their failures and step aside but they, rather, hang onto their jobs endlessly.

The military governments when they overthrow a govenment, after securing power, the next thing is to turn to civilinan mostly the traders.Starting from the NLC, SMC, AFRC the PNDC, tell me which of these governments did not abuse traders and civilians. The AFRC and the PNDC eras were grief and deadly to traders and businessmen and women. The fact of the matter is that they do not know that the traders are the backbone for developed and developing economy. Let Mahama inquire from the USA, United Kingdom, Germany and China what the small scale business is doing to their economies. The only way the government can work with these businessmen and women is to sit down with them and find an effective way to help them and win their confidence. Then device an effective way to tax them in order to boost the economy. Buying and selling does not destroy an nation but if you restrict traders and harass them in order to steal their money or put fear in them so as to deprive them of their daily bread, then your economy is bounds to be at a standstill, fail or go anticlockwise. When Mahama went to the USA, everybody was thinking he would meet with Obama and the rest to seek economic advice in order to start bulding Ghana. No, that was not his intention, he would rather pose a snap shot in front of the CNN so that all the nations in the world would tune in to CNN and see him as if he was a male lizard on the walls of Tamale listening to googi music, and to know that after riging the 2012 elections, the notorious Supreme court judges has given him what he did not dream of.

NDC have the men but when the likes of Yamin,Ato Forson, Ricketts, Bissiw, Victoria Hammah, Ablakwa, Okity-Dua, Omane Boamah, Felix Ofosu, Ayariga, Kofi Humedo (Gyeeda), Tourism Lady, 70% of the regional ministers, Naana Opoku at education has seen no impact, Seth Tekper, no vision for the youth from youth & sports, the gentleman at Employment, Murtalar over Fritz and Co?, One can't tell what the 3 wise men are contributing, and a host of them including Dzifah Attivor who is no better than her deputy. Lest I forget what are the likes of Apaak advising the President on?
The folks listed above can challenge Ghanaians and tell Ghanaians their vision for the various sectors to enhance that of the President.

The PNDC/NDC of Jeremiah John Rawlings started with a lot of Nkrumahists, yet JJ never implemented any of Nkrumah’s ideas or policies. It was only Atta-Mills who came close. That got him eliminated. As for the NPP, the least said about them the better. Please check what happened during the Ghana @ 50 celebrations. All the roundabouts that was named after their pioneers were nicely decorated. Obetsebi-Lamptey, Danquah, etc. Kwame Nkrumah circle they left untouched. Please recollect. They are fighting the man even in his grave, forgetting they have to beautify the city for the 50th independence anniversary which was achieved by the same man they have hated so much and still continue to hate.

First of all, sir, "Are you really serious in making such outrageous comments"? And if you are, I really wanna know where and which school in this universe you earned your degree as a journalist? "Why"? Because, I personally think you're full of garbage and nothing else. Are you, kidding me? Even a developed nation with a huge source of income, the likes of Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal and the list goes on, have not been able to come out of their economic downturn for several years now. They are still struggling and begging for money from their rich Euro counterparts to stimulate their economy and you are giving the Ghana government which operates on loans and donations 3 months to fix the country's economy? Man, you do not deserve the position you are holding right now, honest to God. It is no wonder that we Africans after all these years of claiming independence and republic status from our colonial masters are still marking time. Because, people like you who are supposedly, educated among us are no better than the illiterates in our mist, huh! My standard of education is no where close to what I assume you have but I grantee you that such comments will not come from me, sir. This brings us to the fact that, maybe our downfall is due to all of you so called intellectuals. Even America the great is going through some hard times with the Republicans being so preposterous, finally caved in to Obama's tough stand. That does not mean I do not want to see Ghana's economy fixed, but not in such a short period of time for a government which just came to power. You have to know that every leader has a different mandate. It does not matter who they were before that. Because we see things differently as individuals. Kwesi Pratt, how can the gov't fix the economy when any policy it adopts to redress the anomalies in the economy, is met with industrial strikes by the TUC? It can't do it; can it? The leadership of the TUC appears to have an agenda to dislodge Mahamah's gov't and, therefore, not willing to co-operate with it to manage the economy. Its preferred government of NPP will receive favourable response, maybe, but this will be three long years from now - assuming NPP wins the 2016 elections; meantime, the economy will have to be in downward spiral until the TUC reconsiders its stance.
