  It is so sad that aircraft spares attract VAT, as they would only be used for repairs. These parts would not be sold on the market but are used strictly for maintenance purposes. I think authorities should have better insight ...

  It is so sad that aircraft spares attract VAT, as they would only be used for repairs. These parts would not be sold on the market but are used strictly for maintenance purposes. I think authorities should have better insight into the operation of airlines before coming up with such taxes. These taxes would only stifle the domestic aviation market. Ghana Customs, Ministry of Transport and GACL should review this particular issue asap!
