The government should conduct serious and comprehensive performance evaluations of the workers and lay off (Fire, Sack)etc.) the incompetents. They can start by laying of the bottom 10 to 20 percent.

You remember Adjei of NDC said there are many ways to kill a cat, that was not really an insult but to explain there are many ways to handle issues. Even then many came to condemn him, How can Buah tell Ghanaians complaining of high tariffs and utility strikes, and threatening strike action to turn off their lights if rates are too high. If a minister had said this under Obama's government, tell me what would have happened to him? Do you know some workers are not paid for 22 months? Where in California will this be accepted?

Where else in the world are striking workers paid for no work. When it suits us we shout about best practice in the world. Best practice is that you work for your pay. Condemning Nunoo Mensah will not solve Ghana's economic woes. As for the NPP, they should give us a break with their double standards. Did they pay NAGRAT members when they went on strike? we are where we are because a few people have arrogated to themselves the power of determining what should be done when it suits them. How can the civil service which produces nothing and being paid on our taxes be paid when they go on strike for flimsy reasons. In which law is it stated that workers can go on strike when utility rates are increased? Let's see if the private sector will pay its workers for going on this nonsensical strike. Bravo Nunoo Mensah

Go to the advanced world and study their economies, labor is loosing their clout. No one can give what he does not own. If they can't bear the hardship, they should leave the country for those who could stand 'hardship' while MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, BILLIONS OF CEDIS of the nation's wealth are wasted in frivolous activities or squandered by the few 'blessed'politicians. THIS MAKES SOME OF US 'fools' suffering to pay for the electricity cost of production while the few cunny, crafty 'politicians' live lavishly on the nation's wealth exclusively.

If Ghanaians are to pay for the cost of producing electricity, what would the GOLD and OIL money be used for? BUNCH OF IDIOTS FROM GENERATION TO GENERATION!!!!

If 70 yr old man could reason like this, what good thing would come from the country he resides for many years? SCIENTIFIC DISCOVERY or SHIT DISPOSED OF IN THE STREET?

If Ghanaians find the country "too hot" and travel outside, who will Nunoo continue to advice on security issues. The will be no Ghana. In fact, I wonder the kind of advice he is giving to our president concerning security.

Much as his outburst may seem distasteful, I believe he has hit the nail on the head. What do workers want? More pay? they got the SSSS and some people who earned GHc200 now earn around GHc800. Government paid. There was 'dum so' and workers wanted the head of the President. The situation has almost normalized but this has come with additional cost in the form of increased tariffs and workers want to go on strike against that. That would be illegal and in bad faith. What about those not in wage employment and not benefiting from the SSSS? I think some politicians under the guise of TUC are fanning this. When teachers went on strike during Kuffour's time, what didn't Osafo Marfo say, as the then Minister for Education? I think Mills/Mahama administration has been too lenient and too listening. I also think the President must begin to act and talk tough. He should realize that he cannot please everyone. If TUC should go on strike I would urge VRA/ECG and Water Company workers to also go on strike. If costs are not recovered very soon workers of these companies or corporations would be out of job. After demonstrating we would see where these striking workers would get water to bath and electricity to chill their drinks.
