  The A-G and the MFA knew they were cheating Manu and therefore fail to show up in court. Perhaps they wanted to pocket the 16000 pounds, thinking Manu would not follow up. They took him for a fool.

Others got employment at AG by paying nicely in kind. The AG Dept. is one of the notorious departments in Ghana that not only highly corrupt but causes financial loss to the nation including others like Lands Dept, Border Guards/ Ports Authority, Costoms, Police, Revenue Dept, VAT, Ministries, Passport etc.

  The AG's office is a political den where little professionalism is at work. Quite apart from the lack of professionalism, there are few competent lawyers there. Considering what private practice can bring, it is no wonder any talented young lawyer will head into private practice rather than work for the AG. The office needs revamping, and a boost. It needs new blood and a competent AG.
