The General was opening a school block that he had organized members of the community to build in Accra. He has done the same thing in Swedru.
His basic point was that, salaries have already been increased through the SSSS. If workers are unhappy with this generous(and probably undeserved) increase they are not bound to accept it. It is a democracy and people are free to find work anywhere on the globe.
If workers go on strike in most countries, the union provides them them "strike pay". The General says he sees no reason why the govt. should pay striking workers. What is wrong with that?
Do the TUC collect dues? well, they should pay their workers if they vote to strike. Many of these workers are very unproductive. They work from 10am -2pm. Just go to any Govt office. They are rude and demand bribes to do their work. Why is the TUC not focused on productivity but only salaries? This is the man's issue. what is he to apologise for? He has expressed his opinion.
Ghanaians waste time and energy on diversionary issues. This man has brought the issue of accountability and productivity to the fore.

I reserve the right as a citizen of Ghana to protect and defend my honour and integrity should this civilized challenge for the truth be ignored.

This is not the price I should be made to pay by the Government of Ghana for defending the Constitution of Ghana in the Waterville and Isofoton unconstitutional payments declared by the Supreme Court.

lazy Ghanaian workers! doctors dont attend to patients but are quick to refer them to their private hospitals. teachers dont teach but are quick to organise extra classes for students at a fee. nurses abuse patients and only attend to them upon receiving tips.CAG staff only process salaries of new staff after taking bribes. civil servants go to work at 10am, break at 12 noon and close at 2pm doing nothing using red tape and intentional prolonged delays to extort bribes from the very people they are employed to serve.

because they dont do nothing, strikes and the threat thereof is always a welcome addition to stay off work. and the machinery of government has always worked to pay these lazy workers even when they are on strike.

the system will have to correct itself for its own survival. Because there is nothing in the kitty, the system will look out for inefficiencies within its environment and cure them.

and am i happy with the first cure? that is the best news i have heard sometime now. hurray dont pay striking workers!

The statement by Nunoo Mensah is in the interest of our own nation because basically the workers who are educated are very much aware that the economical situation of our nation needs the cooperation of them to help better things for our goodness.

Nunoo Mensah is aware that the allowances of the workers will surely be paid but if the govt asked for their patience and they refused then of course the statement of Nunoo Mensah is the right answer to the workers.

We have been too lucky with Atta Mills and Mahama governments to have responded positively in the implimentation of the [ SSSS ]single spine salary struture that Kufour introduced but failed to impliment it.

In reality every sound educated Ghanaian with broad knowledge of our national economy, will surely give credit to the present NDC govt
of doing all their best to increase salaries of workers even though Kufour who introduced and failed to fulfilled it left a deficit economy
[DEBT].

Naturally Kufour created all this mess that we find ourselves in, therefore we only need to coperate to make trhings work better.

Every wise Ghanaian knows and understands that Nunoo Mensah's statement is real hence we need to recommend him for being bold with his words to the irresponsible workers to be aware that Ghana needs their sacrifice, for no white people will be there for us in this hard times in the world of today, period.
