there are certain issues u have raised in your discourse but whats wrong if we spend money on funerals? let me just point out just a few issues to you.brazilians have something called carnival. in that they have created an industry on its own. why do i say that. they have people who design and make the attire that they put on,musicians,making of the music instrument to mention a few. all these are just related to the carnival alone. the carnival is not only in one state or region in connotation to ghana. such is the funeral. there is this guy in Teshie who has crafted the design of casket that people come from all over the world to purchase from him. that is an industry right there.creating employemnt for our people by our people. the singing bands,the clothes,the musical instruments. all these things are interrelated. Akans and Africans for that matter cherish organizing a befitting funeral to our people when they depart. this is inscribed in our traditions. why do we have to break it down. this can even sprung up another industry that we might not have though about. everything that the black man does is not good enough. i ask why? the whites of today didn't just get up and got to where they are now by a sudden flight. their forefathers exploited their traditions and situation to look for the opportunities that lie beneath not seen by people just like you. so i say lets improve it even better.

That means, Nana's call although laudable, should be directed to our government to partner with Mr. BOBO (White man) to TRAIN personnel to handle regional or local matters ranging from TAXES, driver licensing, transportation management, schools, Public safety, street naming & numbering, BIRTH & DEATH CERTIFICATES, PASSPORTS, PENSIONS, health care delivery, and on and on, and on, Negro!!

Central governments in Africa don't think the regions have the qualified personnel, equipment, offices and resources to handle business at the regional or local levels—BUT WHOSE FAULT IS THAT? They are the very bureaucratic nincompoops making those bogus claims in Accra.

**Ghana must seriously DECENTRALIZE, but local personnel would need the necessary resources (personnel, money, offices and authority) to function properly.** Mr. BOBO will NEVER TEACH you all the TRICKS in the book, because if he does, then WHO THE HELL IS HE GOING TO CHEAT and TAKE ADVANTAGE OF in the future? Whom can he sell his products & services to? That means "you have to do certain things by your DAMN SELF—Ghanafuo!!!! Too much reliance on so-called “development partners” wouldn’t get us anywhere. Nowadays some chiefs are only interested in selling of their lands and not interested in social development. To us, as Ghanians we like such facilities from the donors else nobody will do it for us.

It is sad to say that even the garden city (Kumasi) doesn't have proper places of convinients even if we have is just a few Nana. Otumfuo please do you know that even the only river that flows through Kumasi ie Subin river has been covered and stores are built on it? so sad. Talking about donors building toilet and schools what have you done for even Ashanti Region since you become the king ? All is your self ,buying big houses abroad and fancy cars .Look at the Kumasi airport and the streets .

Nana it would have been better if you ask the donors to add the training of local assembly personnel to the building of schools and toilets as part of the good services they are providing than saying we don't need them.
