  Appointing Kobby Acheampong as minister shows that Mahama is not serious to find solutions to problems facing the economy. These guys know nothing but insults. They did the same thing during Agya Atta time and they have started again. This is the time for serious thinking for the leaders to search for economic solution not insults and the president is just looking on unconcerned. Is this his 4th gear ? God have mercy !

  THE NDC FOUNDED BY JJ HAD INTEGRITY AND HAD PEOPLE LIKE MARTIN AMIDU BUT THE NDC OF JOHN MILLS AND JOHN MAHAMA ARE SIMPLY THIEVES CREATING LOOTING AND SHARING ....NO WONDER WE ARE SO POOR NOW WITH STRIKES EVERYWHERE.

  We have different types of economies that need to be defined on daily basis.When we are talking about National economy it's not the same as talking about socio-economy.In our case,the national economy is globally growing steadily,looking at the at 5%GDP since 2007.You cannot find this stable growth in many African countries.On the other hand,our progress is creating a wide gap of disparities,the haves and have nots society.The rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.This is the socio-economic impact that the govt has to look at.Those with money have all the best luxury in the world,big houses,big cars and plenty of properties.Those without money or job cannot even have water to drink,why?
  This is what we must be worried about as a nation where fundamental needs do not become a problem.I mean,water,food,shelter and cloths.How do we make sure every citizen has all these basic needs?The surest way is to make the citizens productive by offering them the infrastructure and employment.When there are good policies that create jobs,people work and get salaries for their own needs.When there is no jobs for people,tension goes very high and sometimes explodes.That is why it is necessary for govt to open up opportunities for the citizens to create their own jobs but NDC is not monitoring the situation properly.Employment is the key for socio-economic development.Roads,Schools,Electricity,Hospitals etc are pure Economic development that need intensive capital investment.Thank you.

  Mahama should be the last person to have received salary increment. Why? The president is being fed like a new born baby so, why does he need salary increment with two years back pay? Knowing that there are challenges ahead, you do not appoint a commission to increase your salary upon assuming office then tell other workers to take a hike.
  
  Mahama should stop giving excuses. Any person can be president but no everyone has the vision and the sense to be president. Mahama is a prime example because he is naïve, ignorant, inept, lack commonsense and above all, he is clueless.

  The shameless NDC government has returned the country to the economics of the Acheampong era whereby the govt borrows heavily from foreign sources and then mortgages all exports over an extended period of time to pay for it. Meanwhile, the borrowed money is not utilized for national development but goes into individual pockets. (Remember 'fa wo to begye Golf'?). We are reliving it all over again, this time in the form of judgment debts. The simple but sad truth about Ghana's economic condition is that at the moment we are not receiving any revenues from our exports, not even oil, the borrowed money is nowhere to be found and there is no financial planning. Soon enough, government is going to find it very hard to pay workers. So, for the Minister of Finance to assert that government is working to achieve its deficit target, however difficult, is not only disingenuous and false, but an attempt to cover up the wild, rampant corruption within the government. All this coming from a political party that prides itself of the principles of accountability, transparency and probity!!! Ghanaians, we are in for another long, bumpy ride.

  You don't steal the national kitty dry and still continue to steal the national kitty dry and turn around and ask for patience from Ghanaians, it's completely illogical. A rottenly corrupt thief is asking you for patience, whilst he's stealing you blind, and still has the temerity, the effrontery to ask for your patience? It is absurd and it is only in Ghana that such a completely stupefying situation can occur. Ghanaians rise up and kick this exceedingly corrupt, outrageously inept, magnificently incompetent thieving NDC gov't out in 2016. They have outlived their usefulness in gov't and in addressing the socio-economic challenges facing the country.
