The reason the people did not vote in 2008 was the problem with the KMA, which had disregarded the cab drivers, and the street vendors. They were mad at them. So called NPP gurus talk too much; and do not the NDC to define the party and the personnel, who are vying for positions.

  I think the reason why Akyems and Asantes have their grips on NPP is because of money.These 2 tribes have many rich men who donate cash to the party even in opposition.They can always use money to influence any congress or election within the party.Some Npp elders know that this style is wrong and needed a change.They know that money is very important but you need more than that to win the presidency.Kwame Nkrumah is not rich,not a businessman,not a royal but he was able to beat J.B.Danquah very easily.Why?Rawlings did the same,Mills is not rich but he was able to beat Nana Addo and now Mahama.I think the rich people in Npp should not always lobby for Akyem/Asante presidential candidate but look into the possibility of winning power with any strategic leader who can win power for the party.Thank you.

  The fact is that the Alan Kyeremateng faction is what is destroying the party. Led by Paul Afoko, the Alan gang has been doing all in their power to make sure Nana does not win the presidency race.
  
  When Kuffour ran for election, there was no Akyem faction to pull him down. So why is the Alan gang trying to destroy Nana when it's a known fact that he has toiled for the party and humbled himself, since late Pro. Adu Boahen's time to this day.
  
  The NDC used negative and false news about Nana Akufo-Addo to destroy him, which many believe was started by factions belonging to Alan Kyeremateng. It's not a good sign and every effort must be done to stop this problem so there will be unity in the party. Nana has suffered for the people of Ghana and the NPP party. Every true member of the NPP will acknowledge Nana's contribution to the party---through thick and thin!
  
  There seem to be a strong bond between the family of Kuffour and Kyeremanteng. It is once said that when ex-Prez. Kuffour returned to Ghana from his studies in England at the tender age of 22yrs, Alan Kyeremateng's father who was then chairman of Kumasi City Council hired him [Kuffour] as an intern to the council. This family bond still exists and cannot easily be broken.
  
  Maybe Alan Kyeremateng wants to use this family bond to ride on to become Prez. no matter the odds. Within the party, every member can contest to become party's flag-bearer provided he/she meets the requirements. Alan Kyeremateng has the right to contest the flag-bearer slot but shouldn't use any foul means to achieve his wishes.
  
  The party will need great unity more than ever, to prepare for the 2016 election. We shouldn't allow all the negativity (Nana faction & Alan faction) to divide the party. We must begin to spread the message of hope and prosperity to our grassroot members.

  We gave him an excellent record to use - from LEAP to Maternal Care to Debt Relief to a 5 fold expansion of the economy and yet he still lost!!
  
  Then he was given another chance in 2012 and poor organization at the polling station cost us the vote - read the letter Tarzan sent to him.
  
  Now he wants 2016 - question is who died and left the NPP to Nana Addo?

But I am convinced that the reason for your reluctance was that you diod not have the 'balls' as a responsible man with the calibre and strength to speak your mind.   Don't hide behind your qualifications. You must apply your knowledge gained to the benefits of your society, Knowledge alone is not good enough for society, but is it's application which is important.

God save the NPP from such " saviours". By the way the so called 49.9% of the votes, how much of this came from the Ashanti Region? Mr Ayikoi Otoo I understand is a very good lawyer I shall therefore request him to provide us with his "evidence that the Ashantis did not come out to assist".
  And we are being told he says he wants to be a Chairman of the Party to foster unity in the Party. How can you foster unity in the Party when your "first" declaration of your intention to lead the Party is to wrongfully attack the region which gives the Party it's most votes and which in the 2008 election contributed more than half of the "49.9".
