All the above does not unfrothunately exist in Africa we will t4 fail in our efforts to copy them. We are just not ready for the Western style of govt. Inefficiency and cluelessness is apparent everywhere you look in Africa following this democracy bullshit.

How the hell are people riding motor bikes, at top speeds in Ghana, but without wearing HELMETS?? My annual visits to Ghana have made me a bonafide witness to this unruly and unacceptable behavior, thus anchoring an in-your- face LAWLESSNESS in that Mickey Flick, called Ghana.

Every nation on Earth has some level of lawlessness, in one form or another, BUT THE DEGREE that we have this in Africa is unimaginable. How can we DEVELOP our nation with such BLATANT disregard of established laws? Who makes these laws and who enforces them, anyway?

1) Politicians make the laws but, alas, they're the very people ahead of the line breaking the very laws they make.

2) The police [Halleluiah] and other law enforcement agencies in Ghana are supposed to enforce these laws, but they are closely on the heels of the politicians doing overtime TAKING BRIBES from law-breakers, so how the hell do you enforce the laws or make people comply?

Go to the harbors, the ministries, the courts, institutions of higher education, parliament and the seat of government and you would discover, to your own amazement, the levels of corruption, LAZINESS, disrespectfulness, incompetence, nepotism, tribalism and all the negative "isms" are all in abundant supply. Who can even count the bone-headed nincompoops, who are busy shitting at the beaches?

Mr. K.B. Asante is right, but are these politicians and law enforcement agencies listening to him?

Well, the lawlessness will continue unless President Mahama steps his feet strongly on the ground and instructs the requisite authorities to instil discipline in the culture. What do we expect when a stinking-mouth opposition spokesperson opens the mouth and claims that he doesn't think President Mahama sees himself as the President of the country. Mahama will probably go down in history as the worse ever president of Ghana. The absolute hopelessness in the country makes any genuine citizen wonder whether we have a president who understands the calamity facing us. There is pure corruption in all places and nothing seems to get done. We are really in scarier times, and if there should be a warning about the possibility of Ghana becoming a failed state, it is now. Mahama should either resign or call for early elections.

I noticed this lawlessness and indiscipline in Ghana as far back as 2004 when I went home for a visit. It got worse in 2008, during my next visit. 2010 was terrible, and as for 2012 I can't describe it. Everybody does what he wants, drivers are out of control and petty traders have taken over pavements and even some roads, making it difficult for pedestrians to walk freely. If you're walking you risk being hit by a truck pusher or Kaya yoo. Accra is chaotic, noisy, dirty and unplanned. It's a big slum, so to speak! Something must be done to rid the capital of the filth. I dread going to Makola area, no I won't!
I think our leaders must seriously think of building an adminisrative capital somewhere and leave this chaotic city as a business hub.
I rest my case.
