Our leaders like Kufuor and the NPP did our economy massive damage when they sold off strategic sectors like telecommunications etc to foreigners.. The oil is the bedrock that we can use to right this historical anomaly. But the task is huge. We need to train our engineers locally and abroad and improve local content in the oil industry rapidly. Then like the Arabs, at the right time when we have the wherewithal, we can take over and use it to take overall control of our economy. But let nobody criticise like a fool. its going to take an almighty effort.

You can't blame the West and still ask them for help because the West is not a freebie.

The Arabs you are talking about were patient enough to allow the West to milk them till their time was up. You NDC fools rather need the West but always turn against them. What did Tsikata do with all the money allocated for oil find before Kuffuor's arrival? Now with your little drops of oil, you already want the West out and blaming Kuffuor for inviting the West but not for the oil find.

You are right to criticize Sekou but you are the one who's like a fool if you continue to attack Kuffuor. You have to be in before you get out just like what you said about the Arabs. The difference is that the Arabs neither squander the little leftovers given to them nor borrowed without sense. They made very good use of the little they have till it was their turn to take over.
