Stupid Ghanaians and the penchant for thin air nationalism. Everything is black or white in the eye of the Ghanaian. They pontificate about patriotism but will steal from state coffers, cut corners, litter the streets, drive recklessly and look on while their neighbour starves themselves to rib level. It is known as EMPTY nationalism.
I would like to ask a question: what happens if a white coach naturalizes or is born in Ghana hence holds a Ghana passport, gets a Ghana then applies for the Black Star coaching role? Would it still be down to race? I bet it would.
Kwesi Appiah has proven his credentials as an excellent coach but it is clearly evident that he needs technical help with regards to studying opponents and devising appropriate tactics to counteract theirs. You need a wise technical head to do the legwork for you. This is the status quo in modern football and has proven effective for celebrated coaches like Mourinho. It doesn't matter if the technical head/assistant is Black or White. He just needs to gain the position through merit, something Ghanaians don't know diddly squat about.
Shut your gobs about mental slavery, patriotism blah blah, put your heads down and get on with it.

This Leponwura Jawula, is helping to create unecessary friction in our national team. We did same thing in 1992 and it backfired on us so not again. When we were virtually qualified for Senegal-1992 under German, Burkhard Ziese, this technical director post idea was floated, gained currency, and we bitterfly suffered from that move. Why again, Mr. Jawula? Why did`nt you and cohorts suggest that when the coach, Kwasi Appiah, was firstly appointed? It is a very toxic bad idea and must be rejected outright by GFA. We will be doomed to make such an appointment. Let us support the players, coach and handlers to continue dishing out the surprises.

Again Don,t forget Konadu is one of the best tacticians Ghana currently have. Why ask for technical director at this time. YES I agree we need some soccer experts to do "spying" of our opponents for us during the world cup.We have coach OSAM, ADEY, OTI AKENTEN, TETTEH, and also PLAYERS like ABEDI, YEBOAH, PREKO, STEVE APPIAH and commentators like KWABENA YEBOAH etc, etc,. The GFA can pick any TWO of these soccer HEAVYWEIGHTS to go and assist the coaches with the "spy" work and advice our AA and MAX. However this shouldn,t be done without coach Appiah,s concern. MR JAWULA we do not need any TECHNICAL DIRECTOR.

Is Jawula one of those GFA men who Kwesi Appiah mentioned as those who did not trust him to do job. You see all those people have been shamed. Why did they not appoint him a technical director when he started. Were those one goal project whites given technical directors. If no then why now. Jawula should appoint a whiteman to manage his own home for him and also a whiteman to manage his wife for him and if the white succeeds then we will tow the line.
All these suggestions rather bring confusion to the technical group and does not not auger well for Ghana.
Instead of advising on how Black stars will overcome the Egypt security threat he is making useless talk. What did Jawula accomplished when he was the GFA boss? His statement answers the question. Shame on Jawula. No 10% this time.

German Klaus Toppmoller whose name keeps coming up has been fired 5 times in his coaching career, why even mention him. At this point, it is common sense to stick with Appiah and Konadu. Give them all the necessary help and logistics. If Ghana fails in Brazil, blame GFA.....why?....they are in charge!!!...If Ghana succeeds in Brazil...give credit to GFA......as simple as that.
In the WC no country can succeed without an efficient organization. Yes players count, but when you have countries like Spain, Argentina, Netherlands, Brazil, Germany, Italy, competing with top class players...what makes the difference is 'NUANCE' often associated with organizational systems. The margin of errors in the WC are very slim...everything counts: a single Zidane head butt cost France in 2006 WC final....MAYBE NOT? but losing your captain and playmaker at such a crunch moment in a WC final can be disturbing to the French team, the fans and destiny!!! Ghana can succeed purely based on how we organize from top to bottom!!!!!!!

I'm not sure where Jawula is taking this but I get the impression he is thinking of deja vu with regards to Asamoah Gyan's famous penalty kick. If that's the case then may be he his right. Personally I don't believe it was Gyan's fault. I think the technical team (if we had one) is to blame for failing to advice the team on who should have taken that crucial spot kick. It was clear again that we lacked technical vision when the same player elected himself to take another spot kick within months of the first disaster which almost alienated him from the star's squad. If it's really necessary to have a technical team it should be people AA himself can trust and not people imposed on him. They must be brutally frank and objective in their opinion but they must be made to understand that they are working for AA who would have the final say in the end. May not be a bad idea if managed properly and could create opportunities for the coaches to develop their technical abilities. In the same vane it could create division and confusion within the team especially with T. team members who would like to favor some players

the GFA must rather aim at revamping the technical bench of the blackstars. in my estimation, maxwell konadu, saban quaye and nasamu yakubu need not to be there. nasamu yakubu for instance should be replaced by either joseph carr or simon addo. maxwell konadu and saban quaye should be replaced by an ex blackstars player with repute. maxwell konadu, saban quaye and nasamu yakubu are not ex blackstars players. nigeria's bench is replete with ex super eagles players who have even played in the world cup and afcon. i can remember saban quaye or maxwell konadu or nasamu yakubu ever played in an afcon tournament.

i suggest that the position being occupied by oti akenteng be scrapped because it amounts to interference in the work of the head coach. oti, adday, afranie when given the job could not perform. i remember adday went chasing a technical director when he was given the job. as for oti he only came on the scene because coach adday pulled him up with his undue recommendations. we don't need a technical director both local or foreign. coach kwesi appiah may seek council privately from the older coaches but there should be no institutionalised office for them.
