New Patriotic Party (NPP) Presidential Candidate in the 2012 election, Nana Akufo-Addo has stated that considering the current economic situation in the country under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, “the NPP remains the only hope for Ghanaians.”

“I am sure you all know what is happening in Ghana. The mismanagement of the country’s economy has left the economy in disarray” he said.

Addressing hundreds of Ghanaians during the second anniversary of the Nana Addo Ladies Club, in the United Kingdom (UK), Nana Akufo-Addo admonished members of the New Patriotic Party “to do everything possible to win back political power in 2016.”

Because, “in an era where poverty has kept many children outside the classroom, there is a need for the NPP to come to power so that we can implement the free public school education to enable children to go to school.”

Can they point to any concrete thing they have done to make life easy for the ordinary Ghananian since they were sworn in? They can't even have an honest debate in a civilized manner let alone write laws. Every day, fighting to show who is who with the stupid big words that carry no substance or weight in the real world of the suffering masses. The only real protection we should give them is by using them as a human shield to protect all Ghananians incase one of those crazy lunatic jidhadist strike.

I am not sure I understand why our MPs feel they need special protection (armed police in and out of their residence). Do they have credible information that terrorists, armed gangs, etc. are about to target them because they are MPs? What is so special about being an MP to warrant such privileged protection? Have they worked out the cost of such protection while an "ordinary" Ghanaian cannot afford one square meal a day? Our MPs make themselves a laughing stock of the whole world!
