May be Ghanaians deserve deserve what they are getting because afterall 50% plus voted for the NDC, for whatever reason you can't tell. What Ghana went through during the 4 years of the Mills/Mahama government you simply can't understand why Ghanaians will give the same party another 4 years. The mentality of the people there is such that Ghanaians are getting what they voted for. If you have people who think that an opposition party has to have a Presidential candidate from certain tribes before it can win power in Ghana knowing very well the candidates are not appointed but elected by reperesentatives from contituencies all over the country, then what mind will such people have to think of how to create wealth for the nation Ghana. They don't beleive in competency and a visionary person but rather your tribe is what should determine whether Ghanaians should vote for you or not.

Bature is able to come out with very good articles but ends up with wrong analysis with very subjective conclusions. What is clear from the above statement is that no matter who is the President, whether Rawlings, Kuffour or Mills, the Chief of Staff seem always to wield more power than the Vice President. It is the nature of the job, the COS sees the President on a daily basis and discusses issues more often the Vice does. Secondly, a President may also view the Vice with suspicion as being a threat, especially when he harbours presidential ambitions. So you see why Rawlings, Kuffor, Mills (and now Mahama) felt more at home with their Chiefs of Staff. The Vice President's position is redundant if you study the constitution carefully . Remember Rawlings - Arkaah fracas.
