  Teachers and for that matter government workers must learn from the past that strikes are no longer their weapon to address their grievances, they must find alternatives and stop these old ways of solving issues.

  Why are we complicating things as a nation. Why dont we just calculate the total that is due to a teacher and call it Salary as done in other countries. Breaking these things down into components is not helping anyone. Someon ...

Breaking these things down into components is not helping anyone. Someone will ask why a teacher who doesn’t own even a car tyre be eligible to a car allowance?

  So now everyone wants allowance///what are they using their salaries for>? Just fired them all and ask them to reapply... then give them a contract to sign... if you dont like it quit...and let those who want to work ...work. ...

Don't allow yourself to be misled into believing all the nonsense Ablakwa is using as the reason for the strike. The only reason for this particular strike is to have the increase in the utility Tarrif reduce. Every Ghanaian must like this. How should the so called Service Providers hold a whole population of 24 million people to ransom? We own the utility companies and it will not be acceptable for the contractors to hold us to ransom. The worse are the elected politicians who are not on our side.

  The government should have done this negotiations long ago, teachers are one of the most significant fundamental workers in the country. The government should have sideline politics and profoundly listen to them.Is the nation`s children who sustain the fragile impact of the aftermath and they are our future leaders.The Mahama administration should have act prudently and stop the unnecessary causation of their political rivals.The teachers are smart/wise enough to fight for their right.
