Well those of us who had the privilege to serve in the Armed Forces with him know him better. Unfortunately, we can't put everything out in the public domain. But Ghanaians should forever be grateful to people like him for reading the temperature quickly immediately after the December 31, 1981 coup and stepping in to allow sanity to prevail and resigning immediately facts became available that the three judges and the retired military officers had been murdered with the connivance of some PNDC members.
There were several instances where his character, knowledge, professionalism and affability which were his hallmarks were displayed.
If he said what he said, what was wrong with that? Ghanaians have become so stupid that a call on radio by a certain politician to kill certain ethnic Ghanaian groups was not a treasonable offense but this honest frustration expressed by this gentlemen is; corruption in one place has been defended by accusation of corruption in another place; the TUC has become a political tool and expect their members to be paid by their employers instead of the TUC itself as pertains even in the US while they're on strike; they condone and even participate in illegal connections by certain employees of utility companies and pay bribes to avoid paying correct bills and then rail against the government for raising rates; they know politicians who have gotten filthy rich illegally and immoraly but refuse to call them out etc
We should rather spend time "conscientising" our people to the perils of corruption in our society.
