today our country has the notorious reputation of being one of the most corrupt in the world thanks to pepeni and his band of thieves . we told everyone we knew he had no plan or program to develop the nation except pillage the little monies left and yet today the claim that they could not perform because of a petition . look at their ministers who anything more than 3 pages is a challenge to read talk less of projects whose summaries alone can be over 5000 pages , they are so lazy and selfish that nothing good can come from them . their chief ideologist of evil avenoor was killed and i had planned to go to his grave and urinate and relieve myself on him once every month but he cremated himself i guess i will do so instead on rawlings grave soon. workers are on strike because they know this azaa govt has no clue and in this day and age considering the wealth of the nation no one should work for less than 1000 cedis or 500$ but if free education was such a challenge how can they ever fathom such a reality . they are hopeless so we are preparing for our revolution and telling all righteous to sharpen their knives and bury their guns to wait for for the clarion call. they think they have fooled the Akans especially the fantis , a third of their votes came from the fantis but there is not a single substantiate minister who is a true fanti . they wage war against us Akans but when we come our and call foul they say we are liars . we are ready now so let them bring it on . long live the republic of Akan

Even Jake speaks as if he were an Akan. It is all recognition of reality.

I respect your frankness. Don't worry about being recorded. Some of us concerned with history treasure such frankness.

My brother, you are not alone in perceiving the rift and seeing the party as so made up.

The only correction I suggest is that you introduce the adjective "dominant" into the equation to make it all exact. That is, you should have made it "dominant Ashanti/Akyem" party. After all, you are a bona fide Ga.

Truth is that most members of the NPP see things in the tribal/ethnic light and create them from that angle.

That is why I see your attempts at the flabearership, however implicit, as a non-starter. Possibly, the force of this truth frustrates you.

All said and done, I do not really see the tribal and ethnic angle the most helpful way of analysing the NPP phenomenon.

Historically, the leadership of the Danquah-Busia ideological trend has never seen the masses as a candidate.

In their intra-leadership struggle the only instrument they employ is tribal and/or ethnic allegiance.

But let anybody like Nkrabeah Effah Dartey of peasant origins surface and you will see all the others (be they Ashanti, Akyem, Ewe, Gongo, Fanti, Frafra, Ga) will team up to descend most ferociously on him with the greatest and most spontaneous emmission of kukurudu-sounding cries of reject.

That class essence is the definition of the leadership's ideology.

If I were you I would fight my battles within the party from the opposite class perspective to carry the "ordinary" membership (who constitute the majority) along.

The condition to this, however, is that YOU must genuinely be working in the true interest of the mass of the people; else you are bound to betray them after your victory.

Amilcar Cabral calls this political phenomenon of deserting your own "upper" class to fight alongside the masses "committing class suicide".

You are bound to find even me supporting you in case you re-orient as suggested.

Every word out of the bird's mouth was rude, obnoxious and laced with profanity. John
tried and tried to change the bird's attitude by consistently saying only polite words, play-
ing soft music and anything else he could think of to 'clean up' the bird's vocabulary.

Finally, John was fed up and he yelled at the parrot. The parrot yelled back. John shook
the parrot and the parrot got angrier and even ruder. In desperation, John threw up his
hands, grabbed the bird and put him in the freezer. For a few minutes the parrot squawked
and kicked and screamed. Then, suddenly, there was total quiet.

All that such people need is a little bit of limelight after an unremarkable activity (such as begging for mercy for the likes of Owusu Afriyie) and they think they have arrived and are suddenly authorities on all matters political!

By the way was Ayikoi Otoo not one of the people (committee) who sat as judge and jury and suspended Dr Wireko-Brobbey from the NPP party? So who is going to 'discipline' him?

By the way we are still waiting for the NPP to 'deal' with Owusu-Afriyie whose case we were told "will be dealt with after the election petition". Ghanaians are not fools you know? and some of us certainly don't forget things that easily.

Who doesn't know NPP is divided between Ashantis and Akyems? In 2007, it wasn't any secret the Akyems intended to break NPP if Alan Kyerematen had beaten Nana Addo. Ex-president Kufour didn't support his Aliu Mahama's presidential bid because he was a northern. About 85% of Kufour's ministers were Ashantis and Akyems. Dan Botwe's criticism of Lawyer Otoo's comment was the fear that delegates will vote for either an Ashanti or Akyem where he also has interest in. If Lawyer Otoo could lie that his comments at TESCON meeting at Cape Vars was internal, he's a big liar. This is man who even betrayed his own Gas to represent a warmonger like Ken Agyapong who demanded the extermination of the Gas. It's no wonder, his own Gas didn't vote for him as MP. This means he is not a patriotic leader.

The most tactical thing any smart thinking non-Akan NPP politician can do is to ran for as an NPP flag-bearer, if they deny you blatantly based on ethnic bias, of course we the people can judge that, then you should ran as an independent candidate espousing NPP ideas and motives and see if they will vote for you. That will be the day you can truly judge a mans true character.
