Politics, like football or soccer, is a CONTACT SPORT. It's always a 50-50% chance of winning or losing.

In soccer, regardless of talent and skills, it depends on "who passes the ball, to whom and at what angle or spot." That scenario CHANGES the whole tempo of the game, thus leading to scoring or the ball being taken away. Ghana vs. Egypt, quite recently, is a clear testimony to this theory. The right players were passing the ball to the right people at the right spots, thus trashing the Pharaohs 6-1. That’s a little piece of advice from my own soccer playing years.

So, for the NPP, the question is: If you run Nana Akuffo-Addo, will your chances of victory be improved or diminished? What about running Alan Kyeremanteng-teng-teng or somebody else in 2016?

Statistically, the chances for any candidate winning or losing are the same: 50-50. The same applies to the NDC. Should they run John Mahama or Spio Gabrah or some other Negro? Therefore, "A LOT OF VARIABLES MUST BE PUT INTO THE EQUATION TO ASSURE VICTORY." Examples of the variables are: age, popularity, experience, knowledge, commitment, charisma, leadership, Party support, honesty & integrity.

I think Akufo-Addo should bow out of the 2016 race because no Buddhist, Alhaji, Prophet, fetish priest, etc., can predict anything. WHY?? If they could, then why let him hang DRY for two times (2008 & 2012)?????

We should be talking about political sanity instead of superstitious idiocy. What predictions does the Buddhist Monk of Tibet have for their own holly Dalai Lama who escaped Chinise political forces in childhood and is still homeless in exile?

Religious predictions, prayers, sacrifices and appeasements do not work, and have never worked in any part of this world even your "imagination" tells you otherwise. On the contrary, predictions and prayers beget false hopes; they destroy creativity and self-reliance; and they create a lazy "Nyame bekyere" attitude.

For me, this story provides a discouraging confirmation of Africa's inferiority complex. The story tells me that our own traditional gods are not good enough to be consulted; even our foreign Christian god, Mawu or Nyame is also useless; only an Asian Buddhist is worth consulting.

Ghana is a political democracy. To function effectively and efficiently, all the processes involved in its maintenance must be rational, reason-based and objective. But since Ghana is not theocracy, religious and superstitious considerations have, and should never have any place at all in the country's politics. Religious governments or theocracies had their places and times in the ancient world, and among primitive peoples. and Ghanaians are not primitive.

Akufo Addo, as the whole world knows, is short on phyque and brain-power. This Little Guy suffers from Napoleonic disorder and will believe any flattery that inflates his tiny ego. He is still deceiptful about a law degree which he never got. Nothing about this delutional charlatan, even if it comes from a foreign Asian oracle, should be trusted. I trust that today's Ghanaians are politically intelligent and know better.

For the sake of this country and its immediate development I think, it will be a blessing to see the return of NPP's Akuffo-Addo back to Ghanaian politics - if Ghana is to be rescued from poverty, infinite corruption and mismanagement.
