This hypocrisy by suddenly-appearing-to-be so clean politicians must cease. Next time make sure you participate in the vetting of ministerial nominees and then drive home your point there. In the same vain we need less MPs so that we don't have to contend with this headache of vampires sucking our resources on virtually a silver platter for only "noise-making" in the Ghanaian legislature.

In the first place Ghana does not need close to 180 MPs, 15 Supreme Court Justices and so on? There is waste everywhere. Some people are getting paid for just loitering around. There is too much dependency in Ghana.

We need lower taxes that will encourage people to invest in job creation jobs. Taxes from Assemblies, VAT and so on. Ghana is one of the highest taxed countries in the world. And this is not good for business.

Ghana needed only 30 Ministers etc; however, when NPP came to power in 2001, Mr Kufuor, who went every nook nook and canny preaching that sermon, appointed more ministers than Rawlings did. When Kufuor was questioned why more Ministers than his predecessor, his reply was he said that when he was that when he was not in Government, he did not know the magnitude of the work. Today, only 5yrs in opposition, NPP is repeating the same sermon. What has changed, Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu?

Henceforth, the number of ministries keep on increasing to create jobs for political party functionaries.

What has heppened to the Constitutional Reform Committee appointed by late Prof. Mills to amend the Constitution? What does Ghana Constitution say about the number of ministries that any government should have, irrespective of of the political party? Hmmm! It is interesting - NDC should cut down the number of ministries/ministers and deputies, whilst NPP maintains the high number - is that what the Economists are saying? Kwasia! so why did NPP have like 70+ ministers. Please think before you talk you idiot. we have 10 regions even if we put 10 substantive and 10 deputies we have reached your target. we have roads and highways 1, mines and energy 2, works and housing/ water resources 3, environment 4, transport 5,agriculture 6, fishries 7, defence 8, interior 9, foriegn affairs 10, chief of staff 11, attorney general 12, youth and sports 13 the list goes on. even with that and deputies will baloon the figure to 24 on the assumption that they all have 1 deputy which is not always the case and highly unlikely not forgetting the all important ministry of health and the finance and economic planning. Please don't come and do any populist politics here. Even average companies have like 5 managers let alone running a state institution like a ministry. I agree that jobs for boys exist and have to be looked at especially the 3 wisemen but don't tell me that 20 ministers can overlook our affairs.
