Police officers are not known to be good mathematicians, except it comes to counting their corrupt loot at the end of their daily duties.

But, if they can REALLY COUNT, then I warn them that "by the time it comes to their turn to become the IGP or a high ranking COP, they're already 58 & 1/2 years old." So, PAPA POLICE, your ass has only about one and half years to hit the SILLY and ALMIGHTY magic number “60” to also retire, so why be so happy now??

My point simply is: It takes years or long time to rise up, in rank, in the police service, so unless the Whiteman stamped mandatory retirement age of 60 is increased to say 65 or 70, many of these "jubilant officers" will never see the light of day of becoming an IGP—too old to be retiring, anyway.

But, magically and in a damn Negro way, the washed out and no longer good retired IGP is REWARDED quickly with similar demanding job as an AMBASSADOR. So, if his ass is too used up to function well as an IGP, then how the hell does he perform credibly as an ambassador for the good of the nation, NEGRO??

Put ethnicity and regionalism and gender balance aside, of all the current Commissioners of Police, Rose Bio Atinga towers above the rest, professionally, acedmically and in terms of performance, leadership and results as a regional commander. She is the Naa Asantewa of the Ghana Police Service. Yes she dared to fight armed robbery in Accra of all places when the men were found wanting. What credentials does she need to be an IGP? We are not talking of gender balance or regional balance here, the woman has guts for the tough job. Owusu Poku, Nana Owusu Nsiah and Patrick Acheampong were all Ashanti Region/Brong Ahafo IGPs under Kuffour and NPP,and they performed creditably well, and no one talked about ethnic balance. So if HE the President replaces Mr Alhassan with Rose Bio Atinga, it is the right decision to make based on principles and practice. Anyone who wants to contest Rose should do so on merit not ethnicity or regional balance.

Since we do not have the 7 southern regions, we should not have 3 northern regions. For this reason our brothers and sisters who are not from UE, UW or NR who should know better make very serious embarrassing mistakes including journalists. They write "Bolgatanga in the Upper West" To the people from UE,UW and Northern regions, please stop these phrase "I am from the North, I am a Northerner". Come on you have towns and villages.
