This guy came to the job offering no real vision for the nation, instead he only served up absolute nonsense - Ede be keke - which for some, loosely translates into just existing at the wheels, not knowing which direction to go. To add insult to injury, he is telling us that, like a car, he is only in the first gear in a four-year term, so we can expect to see a fourth gear only in the fourth year. To hear that allegory from a guy and a president who had been a vice-president for the previous four years, and claims that because of the ill-health of Atta Mess, he John Mahama was really the one in charge behind the scenes, then we have reasons to conclude nothing good or extraordinary can be expected that is different from what we have seen from the last four years. The value is going to be the same, and corruption is going to consume all of us under Mahama. Our people tell us, 'Edwa beso'a efiri anopa', to wit, one can gauge the prospects of a good market day from the signs the morning activities project. Right now the country is sinking fast from all reliable indicators. In the last four years, the cedi has depreciated a whole 100 percent under Mahama and Atta Mess. What other assurances are we waiting for? To be hit on the head with bricks?

Look, John Mahama is not cut for prime time, he does not know how, and all his protestations are excuses to cover incompetence and corruption in high places, of which him and his party are direct beneficiaries. What the fuck is Ede be keke? Nonsense!

Mahama keeps on digging his own grave. I have come to believe that he is not up to the task of leading this country. The is the only thing Mahama is doing, using our OIL as mortgage to secure loans for his family and friends. But should we go back to a review or investigation of the election petition? NO

Yesterday, I disagreed with Ochere, when he wrote an article asking the Chief Justice to investigate the election petition because of what someone wrote about Asantehene having a hand in the decision. That was before this Hammah's tape came out.

However, I am beginning to think, something actually might have happened before the delivering of the judgement. And from what is happening now, these are my reasons:

1- How long it took the judges to come out from their chambers to give the verdict. Was one of the judges trying to force or coerce others?

2-The mistake that was made by Atuguba while delivering the verdict could be interpreted as a decision made only by the Judges a few minutes before delivering the judgement.

3-The celebration (ALL NDC Ministers in white clothes) at the Flagstaff before the verdict. Who asked ALL of them to wear white for victory? How did they know that they had already won the election petition. And now hearing that on the Hammah's tape.

4-We should not also forget that Awuku, Azar and other members of NPP knew that the petition were in their favor, even a day before the judgment. How did they know this?

5- Immediate appointment of Lithur to head the Airport. Kind of bribery or some sort of paying him or conflict of interest. And now we hear that, he was helped because of Oye

6- And another appointment to the family members of Justice Dotsie before and after the verdict.

7- And now this Hammah's tape. Do you see why they need to arrest this driver?

In spite of all these, I see no reason why we need to go back on the election petition. We need to move forward and find ways to help our economy. It seems the Job is too difficult for Mahama and I don't know if he has to be forced to resign or not. But what is going on shows that he has no clue to run the country. Any review or investigation of the election petition would just help Mahama to put the country on cruise control and that would be bad for the people.

Please let us show some respect to our judges. Remember the 9 judges are some of our most senior and experienced judges in our land.

Do you seriously think they would allow themselves to be influenced by the government or anyone else for that matter in such a serious, unprecedented national case? Why would they want to compromise their integrity and tarnish their reputations? I would vouch for their sense of honour and sheer professionalism.

Please let us stop the insinuations and put this court saga behind us. If NPP have doubts about the verdict, let them seek a judicial review.

How on earth can they ask for investigations of the verdict just because an individual was heard saying somebody was privy to the verdict, even if that story was true what effect does it have on the verdict would it have turned the verdict in their favor?

That is why the president should not have rushed to fire this lady just because of that tape which will only satisfies the NPP which will turn around to use it against the president himself or the government which is like shooting oneself on the foot.

This tape issue should have ted been treated like the others, something which is becoming the order of the day in the country.

At least for the sake of posterity,the judges should have considered the ramification of their verdict and that when this generation has left the stage, this landmark case would be referred with pride and confidence.In Introduction to law, the first thing you learn is Stare decisis (Latin: "stand by the decision") is a legal phrase referring to the obligation of courts to honor past precedents. Unfortunately these bone heads black Africans threw this great legal opportunity to establish the independence of the judiciary to the dustbin for instant gratification. The judiciary has blown it and we the people should never take these courts serious again. What shame? Fools!

Is this not Karma getting back at NPP? NPP have used their influences within Ghana's judiciary to thwart any reasonable legal action against all the crimes committed in just 8 years of NPP rule. The NDC under J.J. Rawlings, Atta Mills and now John Mahama have been shammed for stealing even to the point where while shamming Tsikata the NPP masterminded the siphoning off proceeds from the sale of Discoverer 511 as they continue to hang the cause around the neck of Tsikata. Guess what; the lousy spineless NDC got one on NPP when it counted more. It hurts does it not? You finally get to taste your own medicine.
Growing up we used to say God is not like an Ojo man. For as long as we have come this far but low in the gutter where people believe that one criminal activity is better or readily acceptable than a similar crime by those we hate and despise, politicians and politically connected people will damage every civil institution we have had in Ghana to a point they will become irrelevant. Dr. Bawumia, Nana Akufo-Addo and the CJ can cry all they want and not a darn thing is going to change until the mascots at the NPP and NDC come to know there is a God more powerful than us all. We will pay for our sins when the time comes around.

So what is NPP looking for? The Chief Justice to probe the election petition now to find out whether or not the SC judges had been bribed.
And after that what happens? They hope the probe will find out that the SC judges were bribed to give judgment against Akufo Addo.
And after that what happens? The CJ will reverse the verdict of the SC.
And after that what happens? President Mahama will be declared not validly elected.
And after that what happens? Another election will be held? And will NPP win this time?
NPP must be real. This Kweku Anansematics must stop.
Before the SC verdict, we all knew the NPP would be saying the judges had been bribed because the NPP was definitely not going to have a favourable verdict.
They should go and study the law carefully to see what remedy they can seek when SC judges are bribed.
The NPP desperately wanted power and they have tried all avenues to achieve this "at all costs" but they have failed in all of them. And they will continue to fail.

I am posting this short message to regular visitors to Ghanaweb to recall my posting and opinion on that August 29 Supreme Court verdict by Justice Atuguba, throwing out the petitioners case.

I said it that very moment that Justice Atubguba had erred in making that verdict. So if this latest development as being reported is true, then Justice Atuguba should be probed and possibly jailed. That's the beauty of the "LAW" around the civilized world! There cannot and should not be any baised justice in any country esp. concerning elections or criminal cases. The NDC govt. still cannot see any crimes committed when the cheat in an election. And as I've been posting always: "election fraud is a serious case" and must not be taken lightly. If what we're reading is true then John "Aplanke Prez" Mahama must be impeached. There's no jokes about this! NPP must help educate Ghanaians why such an action must be taken. We're in a democracy where the law must be allowed to take it's course.

We all heard of Atuguba's travels to the US, just after the bogus August 29 verdict. Many Ghanaian wondered why he made such a move, with some pointing to probable money laundering taking place esp. when John Mahama and the Asantehene, suddenly flew out of he country almost simultaneously, with the vise-Prez. Amisah-Arthur heading out earlier for holidays before the others followed.

The unfolding events in Ghana attest to the Supreme Court was influenced by John Mahama-led govt. in the election petition case. It's a shame. Nana Akufo-Addo, Dr. Bawumia and Jake Obetsebi-Lamptey deserve great commendations for bringing that challenge to the court, for hearing. By so doing they've exposed all the fraud that's been going on in our electoral system.

Ghanaians will also admit that all the economic hardship and misery that they're going through is as a result of election fraud. The Supreme Court Justices must be held accountable for letting the nation down, with that horrible verdict, on Augugst 29.

In this case, heads must roll; we should demand justice and accountability, for sure!!! This case should NEVER be swept under the carpet; there should be a thorough probe into the whole thing asking for prosecution of everyone involved in this horrible event.

Well, maybe that is why they lost the case in the first place because their understanding of the law is very feeble. How would a whole political party avoid the facts outlined in the verdict provided by our well respected Supreme Court Justices, especially when the whole world could attest to the fact that their case should have long been thrown out owing to its lack of serious evidence, and quickly clinch to a leaked tape with an alleged voice of a now former minister just saying what she herself isn’t sure of. I quote "I learnt even before the verdict, Nana (Oye Lithur) was with the Justices and all that. You don’t know the role she has played for us to win the court case." The key phrase here is ‘I LEARNT’.
Well if their move is to kill the Drill Ship sale saga which is given them bad image as a party, then they should re-think for that is impossible. I even won a bet against a friend because, half way through the hearing, I knew the petitioners had already lost the case. The KPMG audit report supported my belief that NPP had lost the case.

But 29th August will go down as the most disgraceful day in the history of Ghana's judiciary! Come to think of it, the framers of the 1969 Constitution proposed that judges should retire on their salaries to shield them from such despicable behaviour. However it would seem that greed in Ghanaian society today is all pervasive. As my people say "yefun bon nnyim de ne wura amee."

It was quite clear from Atuguba's bungling of the reading of his own handwriting that something had gone seriously wrong! What a shame.
