The article, by the Informer, if true stated the clotheless truth: That the Akyem Mafia is not happy or comfortable with Tarzan (an Ashanti) for his criticism of the electoral petition and other unwelcome utterances about the NPP as a whole and that’s why they want to silence his ass.

The GNPC lost a whole ship for about $24 million, courtesy of financial novices like Tsikata and (the same) Tarzan, and now another gargantuan loss of $31 big ones (Million)? And these are the bone-headed Negroes ruling the country. NOTHING WORKS in Ghana except the "stealing hands."

However, in full concurrence with your statement, identifying that "call" with Akufo Addo or the Akufo-Addo faction is a serious mistake. I find it amazing that, still, the NPP has not realized that the "Akufo-Addo" lable is a contaminant and a liability that should be avoided as much as possible. And to talk about an "Akufo-Addo faction" makes things even worse. The word "faction" carries a negative connotation. It suggests frustration and disaffection; it suggests a break-away from the mainstream. In this instance, it suggests disorganization and confusion in the NPP.

I agree that ideas, concepts and principles should be subjected to reason-based debate. But attaching those ideas, concepts and principles to an egotistical, self-involved and a failed, old and delusional personality spells ignorance and repugnance.
