Tamale in the Northern Region is even worse, Sundays and Public Holidays, you will see these Police standing by the road side just to extort money from drivers. Measures must be put in place like Anas investigating strategy to capture those involve and get then dismissed. But the big question here is who is to apply this disciplinary action? because most of these junior officers are being detail by their superiors to go and extort. Mr. President this is a big problem. The Police and the other security personnel must also be paying for the utilities like water and the Electricity the consume. They are cheating us too much. Thank you

Very surprising to learn that newly recruited young policewomen also storm the streets at dawn every morning to extort money from drivers.
Regional Ministers and Regional Police Commanders are aware of this canker yet no attempt made to stop the Police from using their uniforms to exploit drivers.
The image of the Police service has been tainted by this practice. Those involved in collecting money from drivers at dawn everyday should be arrested and dismissed from the service. Not until this is done Ghanaians will never respect the police service.
This shameful behaviour is rampant at Akwatialine/Alabar street, Aboabo/Asawase street, Bompata/FNT street, Prempeh Assembly Hall/Rex Cinema street etc etc.
The Regional Police Command,Ashanti Regional Minister and Nana Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11 are kindly entreated to take steps to stop the Police from invading the streets at dawn just to collect money from drivers and then go back to the barracks to share the booty.
The general public has lost faith and confidence in the police service because of this disgraceful behaviour.
It must stop forthwith.Start dismissing policemen and women who are only interested in extorting money from drivers.Enough is enough.

When I tried to report an investigator in matter beeing robbed by stuff, who asked me officially for a support of gasoline, after I gave him already 50 GHC, the comissioneer of the Kumasi police called his deputy and lets him know, that he doesn't understand me and that he never wants to see me again.
His question to me was: Don't you have corruption in Germany.
My answer was: By far not as much as you have in Ghana, in Germany corruption is dangerous and therefor an exeption.
His deputy listened to the record I made of the request from the investigator and punished him.
Btw.: In matter of my reported, stolen property up to today nothing happened - I swore to myself not to bribe any more.
In my country (Germany) we call the police our friend and helper
