So what she said on the tape was true? What other story is she going to present next time? So the president sacked her for no reason? Was the sacking merely based on the tape or on its contents? If her dismissal was based merely on the tape but not on its contents the president was wrong. Or can her dismissal be considered a coincidence? Has the president planned to sack her but this tape only showed up during the process? If it was the contents of the tape that resulted in her dismissal, then I think it would be appropriate for the president to explain his action. In the first place the lady has confirmed the tape by causing the arrest of the driver for taping her private conversation. If the contents had no bearing on government then why should she be dismissed? The issues raised in the tape are serious ones especially the role played by Nana Oye in securing a favorable judgement for the president. It casts a bad slur on the ruling NDC, the president and the judiciary. I think the call by the NPP for inquest into the matter is in the right direction. On the other hand if the contents carry no serious issue why should the president be worried and dismiss her without even letting her say anything? If she had stated that she is reliably informed that the military is at an advanced stage to overthrow the government, would the president just sack her and leave the matter as it is? The right thing must be done. The Chief Justice should bear in mind that her outfit had been brought under disrepute and I think sitting idle is not a solution to resolve the issue. As for the president I pity him very much because people have on many occasions come out to accuse him of many shady dealings, courtesy, former minister of justice.

vicky hammahThe former Deputy Minister of Communications, Victoria Hammah has broken her silence several days after she was fired by the President over a leaked tape on which a voice purported to be hers was heard making some astonishing claims.

In an exclusive interview with Radio XYZ’s Presidential Correspondent, Kwame Danso Acheampong, Victoria Hammah said she respects the decision of the President to fire her but bemoaned the fact that she was not given a fair hearing by the media on the saga which is now known as the ‘Vikileaks’.

Ms. Hammah on the leaked tape which was recorded by her cousin-driver was heard saying that the Gender, Children and Social Protection Minister, Nana Oye Lithur influenced the Justices that sat on the election petition case which affirmed President Mahama’s electoral victory.
Apart from vouching to bag US$1Million in politics, the young Deputy Minister was also heard denigrating her colleague Deputy Minsiter, Rachel Appoh, as an “ugly, unintelligent and egoistic” person who needlessly fought her boss, Oye Lithur at the Gender, Children and Social Protection Ministry.

She was sacked barely 24-hours after the tape was leaked and aired by several Radio Stations across the country.

However, in an exclusive interview with XYZ News on Wednesday, the dismissed former deputy Minister thanked President Mahama for the opportunity to serve in his government adding that she would come out with her side of the story at the right time.

According to Kwame Danso Acheampong, the former deputy Minister stated that she has learnt her lesson and promised to be more discreet if another opportunity is offered her in future.

Look at the illegal mining being carried out by the Chinese with collusion in some cases at high places of chiefdom and government, yet Okyehene, who colludes with environmental criminals to destroy the his back yard wants the USAID to help reclaim the land. Where is the Chinese Embassy in all of this equation? Look at the French Embassy still tacked at the seat of government but Maama looks broken and inept to take any serious action. Ghana is seriously in trouble under Mahama's so-called NDC party. He fires any United Ghanaian, replaces them with "my brother from the north." When will NDC stand up to Mahama's tribal war on us?
