Secondly, if you want to hold FIFA responsible you might wanta set some legal preamble? Why don't you get some recognized international legal backup. NO Ghanaian would be happy to hear me say 'anything is possible'. Well, we would, if we were in Egypt's shoes.
It is EXTREMELY IMPORTANT for the GFA to drum into our players, especially the defenders to be MOST DISCIPLINED, as much as possible. Reason is simple.
We know that on current squad form, Egypt would not play better than Ghana. However, at home, a little intimidation from the referee, with 2, 3, 4 or so yellow cards, and maybe 1 or 2 'shocking' red cards in the 1st half alone, could turn the tie on its head. These guys could do anything to win a game.
From the above, my wish is that our authorities would reiterate the need to be vigilant, yet disciplined from START to FINISH.
GOOD LUCK BLACK STARS. Long live GHANA. MAY GOD BLESS US ALL.

Midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng retired early from Ghana’s training on Thursday but the severity of an injury has been downplayed.

The Schalke 04 ace part in the a bulk the session including the physical training and light ball sessions.

But the 26-year-old recluse himself when the group was divided into two teams to practice tactics with the ball.

Boateng has been battling a knee injury since moving from AC Milan to the German Bundesliga outfit on transfer deadline day.

He missed the first leg 6-1 drubbing of the Pharaohs at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi last month due to injury.

First of all, it is not the business of Fred Crentsil to determine ahead of our security officials, that the situation in Egypt is sufficiently safe for this match. Crentsils job is to ensure that the Black Stars are in good shape to play football. Our security officials and intelligence unit of the Ministry of foreign Affairs should have been prompted to take the initiative to secretly go ahead to Cairo, Egypt, weeks ago to professionally determine the situation on the ground in Cairo and advise the govt.

As I have said elsewhere, if a whole US Vice President finds it necessary to quietly visit Egypt unannounced with the security of a vast military escort, does that not tell any thinking person that the place is not safe for anybody else?

I hope that Fred Crentsil did not only listen to the assurances by the military dictatorship of the country and accept a few dollars from them to agree with them. Otherwise what is it that he Crentsil saw or observed that made him come to his conclusion that is alright to go ahead with the match in Egypt? What are Fred Crentsils credentials as a security analyst or expert?

The fact of the matter is that the Egyptian Military dictatorship and the West, with the implicit collaboration of FIFA, desperately needs this match to played in Egypt to win some international credibility after shooting to death and randomly imprisoning thousands of their own unarmed citizens. Are these the kind of people any right thinking person should accept assurances from? We are only being used as naive pawns in this high-stakes game.

Secondly, the football environment is supposed to be a fun activity and not only a money spinning entertainment event as FIFA would have it. Why then should a football match be subject to so much apprehension, fear and security concerns, political tension and incertitude? Out of the billions of dollars that FIFA stands to make from the World Cup, cant they just simply use a small fraction from this amount to move the match to one of the more safer and politically stable countries bordering Egypt?

Thirdly, the now obvious racist impudence of FIFA in going ahead to confirm that the match will definitely be played in Egypt in spite of the global concerns of the unstable situation in Egypt, makes their decision even more irksome. More insulting is the fact that they took this decision only after exclusively conferring with the Egyptian authorities only. The over-riding concerns of Ghana, the visiting team, was not important. It was only subsequent to this decision that the Ghanaian authorities also requested to meet with FIFA to also vent their discomfort about the game being played in Egypt. Even after grudgingly agreeing to meet the Ghanaian officials, they (FIFA) confirmed their total disrespect for Ghana by arranging to meet the Ghanaian officials in neighboring Togo instead of in Ghana because the almighty FIFA cannot be seen as kowtowing to the concerns of just another Black African country.

Finally President Mahama coming in at this late stage and issuing out empty threats to hold both the Egyptian authorities and FIFA responsible, is just another typical example of his unending drama of ineptitude. Mark my word, should anything unfortunate happen, he cannot do 'fuckall' to FIFA or Egypt and that is why we should be proactive and firm with pride rather than making noises about "closing the stable door after the horse has bolted" in the typical manner of niggers.

So can't the leadership of Ghana read through
the lines.If home support counts or is part of the game,what are they talking about !
The Black Stars of Ghana dismantled the Pharaohs of Egypt to 6 -1 at our backyard, before a Capacity home crowd and support.
Therefore,it is just and appropriate if Security pof the Black Stars and support groups could be assured to have the 2nd leg take place in Egypt before their home crowd and support as required by law,in the interest of fair play.
FIFA has done exactly that.So what does the leadership in Ghana want again.
I think it would have been easier for FIFA to consider to change the venue if the scoresheet was say, 1or 2 zero against the

This is stupid, empty talk. Instead of going by all the assurances given by the Egyptian authorities and FIFA and giving our boys all the encouragement and support they need, listen to a confused president. In addition to all that, the president should make sure a waiting aircraft is provided. The Ghanaians players and the numerous NDC supporters should get back to Turkey immediately after the match. So many other things one can do as a planner other than the empty talks.
