This victoria hammah affair is of major concern , let us not forget even in America president Nixon was forced to resign or face impeachment for much much less as all he did was eavesdrop. here pepeni has confirmed he was able to bribe and therefore tamper with the justice system. any country which has citizens above the law is doomed to failure. the seriousness of this matter makes me wonder how cowardly or profoundly corrupt are most of our institutions such as all the political parties , the police , army and judiciary. pepeni should be made to account and be punished . God has made us to know what kind of a scoundrel and rouge this pepeni is by making his secrets slowly know to all of us . first he instigates the murder of his Akan king mills , organizes the cover up and rigs the elections and seals it by bribing the judges. today the govt is not functioning and we are going backwards , no more serious investors coming only those who wish to exploit and rape the wealth of the nation . in the ministries and govt institutions nobody is patriotically serving the nation as all are now afraid to act lest some pepeni or ayigbe decides they want that position or destroy the work. the moral fiber of society is seriously challenged as it is now the norm to be corrupt and steal . ministers are in charge of sectors they have no clue about so cant give direction , an account at finance , a secretary at transport, a schoolboy with nothing in his head at trade and industry , and a pepeni who who never saw the sea before he was 40 at fisheries , incompetence galore and they run around accusing and blaming the innocent for their own non performance and inaction . hopeless fools

Nana Kk, the Ghana Army of today is not like that of the 60s, 70s and 80s. They are well educated persons who understand governance, economics and what it takes to build a nation. Find time to make a few friends of them and you'll realize many of them possess higher educational certificates that makes them understand issues better.

In any case, we should be careful of this NPP walk-out. I remeber a similar thing happening and even a demonstration when VAT was being introduced into the country. Interestingly, when the NPP came to power they did not do away with it but rather increased it.

I suggest they should sit with their NDC counterparts and look at the pros and cons of increasing the rate and if the consensus be built that it should be increased, A BETTER WAY BE FOUND TO ADMINISTER IT TO THE BENEFIT OF ALL GHANIANS.

Some government agencies,who have been using Customs Bonded Warehouses,are refusing to pay all these.
If the government,that doesn't create any job,keeps increasing CUSTOM DUTIES,VAT ETC,that increases the troubled masses,who might tend to do anything they lay hands on to survive.

NPP is the Minority, so the fact that they walk out doesn't mean the NDC majority is crippled. They will go ahead and enact the law you the NPP Parliamentarians don't like, and once enacted, it is the Law, and the Law binds every citizen.

The purpose NPP is there as an opposition is to debate and oppose any unreasonable laws but not to walk away in in anger!! NPP Parliamentarians are rather failing Ghana and their respective Constituencies that brought them to Parliament.

Is Ghana now swallowing every nick and crook from the World Bank and the IMF? The monority did the right thing for Ghanaians.

Government should stop doling out monies, all in the name of judgement debt, stop selling state institutions for cheap like we have in Merchant Bank, close all the tax loopholes, and chase government bribe takers out of their offices. That is the answer to the sel-inflicted wounds.

Why would an educated but ignorant person the likes of Osei Bonsu be representing anyone in the legislature if he does not understand government revenue sources include taxes? Instead of sitting down and critically analysing issues which will inure to the long term benefit of the country, the minority led by the NPP think the best thing to do is to walk out. Have they so soon forgotten the harm caused the nation by their decision to boycott the vetting of the ministerial appointees? When are we going to learn to do the right thing at the right time?

Osei Kyei-Mensah was recently crying that the remuneration of MPs in Ghana is so low that they the MPs are becoming paupers, how does he expect the government to raise revenue to carry on government business and even pay the huge remuneration he is demanding for MPs?

Whether in government or in opposition, we must always try to bear with the government in difficult situations for when we oppose everything in an attempt to score cheap political points, the same situation and circumstance would come and haunt us one day.

We have to get revenue from the country and stop borrowing from the west. for this one i support the government and am sad to be a member of NPP. 17.5% is not alot compare to what is being taxed in the western world. But the government have to check on corrupt officials who waste the little that the country have, to raise the standard of living in the country.
