Where are the 50 High Schools per year? Government says it is broke yet would send all the money to build Volta University. If you cannot provide enough for students, do you think their parents a fools to let NDC rotten their kids? They will rather pull the bull by the horn and bite the bullet. We need the betterment of our kids, not $1,000,000 in the pockets of Mahama ministers.

The matter is that this has been a perennial problem which should be nipped in the bud. How can this Headmaster talk about "the menace of indiscipline behaviour" when some of his own colleagues flagrantly flout policy directives fron the GES headquarters by charging exhorbitant and unapproved fees which prevent poor parents from enrolling their wards in SHS? It is common knowledge that many of these school administrators have become filthy rich
through this dubious means with little regard on their part for the advancement of the nation. Did many of these heads in the Ashanti Region not give an undertaking to their regional boss to stop the practice then turn around and charge those cut-throat fees anyway? What else could top this brazen act of indisciple and gross disrespect for higher authority?
And let`s face facts, how many of these noveuaux-riches actually came from well-to-do backgrounds,and thus should have made them more sympathetic and sensitive to the plight of poor farmers,traders and less privileged? The Minister, Prof. Naana Agyeman, and her team should adopt a no-nonsense, zero-tolerance stance against these offending heads to send a clear message that there is a 'new sheriff' in town! No wonder many of these hitherto 'hand-to-mouth officials can now afford expensive summer vacations with their families to exotic overseas destinations.

If the president is really serious, he must make them refund the extra fees charged to the parents, prosecute them and sack them. this will tell me he is not only making noice to fight corrption.

Don't caution them, jail them. We need an exhaustive audit of the public schools, especially the polytechnics in Ghana where rectors team up with their finance officers to enrich themselves

Why don't you tell parents that they are going to spend a cool 1000-1500 cedis to send their ward to the boarding house. There are other charges that you pay like school uniforms, even textbooks as the present government has ...

There are other charges that you pay like school uniforms, even textbooks as the present government has withdrawn a lot of these subsidies. The government make the people think that you pay only the boarding fees and that's it. Stop blaming the schools for these charges.
