From the President down to deputy ministers includimg Parliamentarians received more than 100% pay increase about a year ago and made it retroactively to the previous year. That meant they got another past year increament paid.

What we need Mahama to do is to stop providing housing, free petrol and electricity to all these Politicians and let them find their own accommodation and pay for them like all Ghamaians do. It is past time to do away with this archaic and colonial mentality of free housing and amenities to Politicians. The Brits who planted this slave mentality into our heads do not provide free housing to their ministers and Parliamentarians. Let them cut 50% of their pay.

What baffles me a lot is how no Akyem/Ashanti/ASantes chastise their own for using derogagory or insulting words or language at other Ghanaians yet those same people come out to attack when another tribe says something about all akans. The first thing you should have done was to call out that IDIOT for using all the words against people from the north. The guy stays in character all the time. Is ok to pick on the president when you don't agree with his policy but to insult all people who come from his part of the country is stupid and naive to me. Why does an Akan has to be in power all the time? Ghana is more than one tribe and honestly I don't care who rules Ghana as long as they're helping the country develop all around.

I'm a northern and don't think you can convince me that the current meaning or 'pepeni' and 'ntafuo' is not insulting. How could your forefathers not tell other Ghanaians apart? I have a fanti friend who said he didn't know how northerners where perceived until he went to Science and Tech in Kumasi. He had a cultural shock at the way northerners were been treated in Kumasi. You still wonder why people attack ashantis and akyems only? These people do the attacking most often than receive attack from other tribes. Go figure! Yes we have qualified, and congratulations to the Black Stars. But frankly speaking, we were outplayed by the Egyptians. Whilst they were highly motivated, we played as if there was nothing at stake especially in the first half. We could not stick passes together and were always giving the ball away.The defence was not bad apart from the full backs who were a little jittery. Opare had some flashes but was guilty of giving the ball away and playing out of position. I believe the 2 goals the Egyptians scored could have been avoided. Dauda clearly mistimed the trajectory of the ball resulting in the first goal. And for the second? Only heaven knows what Wakaso was doing when he failed to track Gedo after the throw in? In fact the professionalism and tactical awareness displayed by the Stars in the first leg was strangely missing. Let's hope the players and technical team have learnt lots of lessons from this match.
