Ghana is now at crossroads and all efforts must be made to pull the country out from economic mess and rejuvenate it to benefit all. The pieces of advise thats needed to help keep the governance in momentum must not be with held. So if Kuffour's admnistration went wrong in some ways at the cost of the nation's emancipation, does it means Mahama's administration should also be left to go wrong? What an infantile mind you you possess. Ghana is for all of us and all help needs to be given to the government of the day to deliver and eschew waste in the system.Stop your one sided support based on your tribalistic ego.

Similarly, the President can occasionally micro-manage taking the actual conditions on the ground into consideration.

Please, give the man a breathing space to do his work in his own way/style. If he fails to achieve your expectation after his 4-year constitutional term, you can vote him out.

Mahama should be criticized constantly because he lack commonsense. Why? The president is the last person to ask for a salary increase since be has everything at his disposal. When he assumed the presidency, the first thing he did was to increase his salary three fold to what Kufuor and Mills were receiving with two years back pay. Does it make sense? Did he look at the financial stature of the nation before embarking on such a perilous journey?

A good president with commonsense and the "appetite" to rule, will not even think of accepting any salary increase till he is fully aware of the financial position and also, consulting his Finance Minister as to whether it is okay to implement any salary increase. Now, he is blaming the SSSS for the woes but that is a vain and stupid excuse coming from Mahama and is reckless squad. They are absolutely clueless.

Pennicle it appears you don't know the governance structure under the 1992 constitution. The constitution mandates every govt to set up a committee to set the salary and benefits of Article 71 staff. The last one was set up by Mills and it takes effect from the beginning of the administration. President Mahama will also have to set up a committee to do the same and that will start from January 2013.If Akuffo Addo were to be the president he would have to do that as constitutional provision for all Article 71 personnel.remember whether he likes it or not he has to do it that is the only way their salary is adjusted similar to that tripartite committee or for the rest of the working class.

I am having headaches these days. I can't believe that a Nation like ours would be led by such a clueless figure. Seriously, there are times I don't want to open to Ghanaweb to read what is going on in our Country, but the "Ghanaianess" in me brings me here to know what is going on with my people and unfortunately, I come here reading stupid things from leaders who are not fit to lead primary school, let alone a Nation like Ghana.

We have a leader who refuses to think to find solutions to our numerous problems and corruption, but always finds time to make empty promises to the poor people. He is always ORDERING, DIRECTING and INSTRUCTING his ministers to release money for projects, while simultaneously, his ministers are telling us there is NO MONEY. What sort of nonsense is that? And suppose there is money for those projects, should it be the President who has to ORDER or DIRECT or INSTRUCT them release the money before they do so? Don't these Ministers know what to do?

When you are a president in Ghana, you are untouchable and the sky is the limit to your power. This is why the country is going to down. A president can use the nation's resources to buy his way through every situation, including making appointments which other ministers can do. In Ghana, unnecessary praises are heaped on the president even if he goes wrong by his supporters and with that mentality, nothing gets corrected and we perpetuate our sins. It will take commonsense and violence to resolve these issues and that is on its way!
