I am sorry to hear this. But, as a word of caution, baby making is for 20 to 30 year olds. Women must avoid having babies after 40, especially in Ghana where we lack good facilities.

    My condolences to the family

May she rest in peace. But how did she reach the hospital? Shame on us. we can't even protect our mothers.

Where did it mention anything about the mode of transportation? Sad to hear a woman dying after giving birth, but this is common in africa due to poor healthcare and adding to this woman's fate, is her age.

Now the fools are sacrificing pregnant mothers in that pathetic party. Nkurasefo mma.

taking the politics out the situation it is sad that in this day and age our women still die during child birth due to substandard health care . condolences

A lesson to the politicians to get wise and improve our health facilities. Idiots.

Finally, the NDC party members and supporters themselves are complaining of the poor economy due their incompetence and corruption. We could not even keep this poor woman alive because they have stolen all the funds. It is be ...

Ken, 20-30 may be the ideal period to have a first child.

But there is nothing wrong with having a baby at 43. Some risks may increase with age, and it may be more difficult to conceive at that age. Nonetheless, women do h ...

It is not ideal. Children born to older women are at risk of serious childhood diseases including diabetes, congenital diseases, ADD, stunted growth, even heart problems and "unsuoba-type" children. In addition, the child ris ...

Be informed first before making such arguments. Above 35 yrs, the probability of having a child with Down's Syndrome is high and that is what makes it risky, and not because of vaginal delivery. So to say that she should have ...

You're 43 years and still dreaming of having children. Stupid Africans, you'll continue to die in your numbers. All Africans can do is to have children, nothing else.

You're a fucking moron and whatever race you claim or endorse, I would not like to be part of it. I believe as a coroner you've already determined the cause of death.

  • AA 12 years ago

Even though I agree with Gold's sentiment, I condemn the manner of expressing it. Medically, any pregnancy above 35 yrs is dangerous to mother and child. She should have opted for CS.

A very sad event!. May she rest in peace. But women should be advised that giving birth at such a late age carries greater risk, both for themselves and their babies too.

That is the reason why President Mahamah, his ministers and appointees cut 10% out of their salary to support Maternal Health. NPP should join him and stop their self centred behaviours.
