  i am not surprised and i should advise capt duah to also forget about it. i am an assemblymember in the agona west constituency and since the ndc came to power positions in the assembly has been interpreted in strange ways regardless of the law. in the first instance our pm who continued the tew-year term of office of the previous one eho was promoted to mce wanted to go on without a fresh elections after the two year term ended. this became a struggle before they understood that what some of us were saying is correct per the standing orders and act 462.
  them the issue of tenure of office of dces also came up. all the dces who came into office to continue anothers term of office either through sacking, resignation or death por otherwise are by law continued or completed the four year term handed to them by president mills so after december 2012 those who replaced them and those who were there for four years by law had ended their term of office. however they are interpreting it that their four year term begun where they started to complete or continue for their sacked colleagues. a very wrong interpretation. i have been an assemblymember for 20 years and this seems strange to me. what about if somebody else won in 2012 would the dces go to court that their term of office had not expired, strange indeed. there are so many anomalies and breach of teh law time and space would not allow me here. i have been a unit committee member, an urban council chairman, an F/A chairman, a presiding member and currently a zonal chairman i canbet you that some of the appointees and dces when asked who appinted them would still give you an appointment letter signed by atta mills whose mandate was only four years from 2009 january to 2012 december thus all those appointees and dces would have to be reappointed by pres mahama to legalise their status if not anybody who goes to the supreme court is sure to win them. to be continued
