Of what use are Party campaign posters one year after elections have been held? Chief Inspector Amponsah and Bitam Lari the Magistrate should answer this question.

I thought there was rather a law or directive that required all political Parties to remove their posters and banners in the public domain one month after elections?

I strongly suspect that both the Chief Inspector and the Magistrate were politically induced to jail the man for this non-crime. This is a clear act of vindictiveness.

Why should we pay taxes to finance the upkeep of people who are wrongfully jailed for insignificant, untenable or unjustifiable reasons by stone-age Magistrates? Has the Magistrate got any common sense at all?

How come people like Nii Lante Vanderpuiye and others on both the NDC/NPP divide who caused actual physical destruction amounting to millions of Cedis in cost during the campaign period preceding the elections, were not jailed or even fined? What is this country coming to?

In fact both the Chief Inspector and the Magistrate should be made to finance the upkeep of Philip Asamoah in jail for that one month. What nonsense is this?

And by the way, did you note the name of the Magistrate? Two days ago in Parliament, they were promoting Mahama T-shirts for Black Stars players and fans in Brazil. Today they are jailing people for destroying worthless NDC 2012 campaign posters.

We live in strange times and I fear that the worse is yet to come.

So for you to insult a judge is uncalled for. It's about time we allow the law to take it's course to tell some people that they cannot do whatever they want. Even in America when you go to the headquarters of the parties they still have posters of prior election and no one aside them has a right to tear'em down because if you do, you will face a severe punishment.One thing that I can say is the judge should have fined him and let him do some kind of community service but I don't know how community service thing works in Ghana, may that's why he got 1 month jail time.
