You are right. What makes the situation worse is the relations between some members of the judciary, the security agencies, the bankks, some politicians and these drug barons. This is no secret. We need a tough and honest leader to lead the crusade against this menace. Some countries have become or becoming failed states due to drugs and Ghana must learn from that.

Citing a true story: a young man from a small town in Ashanti travelled from Europe to his home town after staing 2 years abroad.

Unusually he did not carry plenty money and big big car. His mother asked him, "Kwame, why didn't you bring all those stuff. Opanyin Kwame Manus's son Yaw Antoh brought 3 cars and 2 containers full of belongings just after two years sojourn abroad".

The son explained that Yaw dealt in some odd-business because Yaw was not working and even if he did, he could not save enough to acquire all those items within a period on 24 months.

"But, Kwame, if that is the way to make it there, why don't you do it that way?" was the answer he got from his own mother!

The leaders must first set positive example for the people to follow. If they are seen rigging elections, bribing the courts and doling lap tops to but minds and votes, what do you think the people will do? The leaders must be busy creating jobs to replace the drug trade, educating the people of the drug menace and other socio economic threats to be able to control the drug trade. They have made money the highest good that a man should attain, even if he dies suddenly and leaves all the money behind which I have seen many times.

Ships loaded with cocaine suddenly turned into floor under the watchful eyes of former President Kufour and his then security apparatus. Signing and dealings on behalf of Government of Ghana without proper documentation. A lot of stolen Ghana money is unable to prosecute and determine. There is no paper trail.
