if properly investigated we all know it should end with the impeachment and jailing of mahama . many are blinded and prejudiced by the love of their party or tribalism and do not want to see the truth. this is the saddest event in our history after the murder of Mills . our society and so called leaders are lazy and procrastinating not to mention lacking in courage and integrity so allow this tribal ethnocentric feudal society as opposed to an industrial entrepreneurial mentality and true nationalism with patriotism to flourish. history has proven that all feudal societies be it monarchy's , dictatorships or quasi democracies end up in blood shed whether through revolutions or war in favor of a republican structured system of governance . Bin laden realized the whole Arab world couldn't even produce a car tire and in his limited feudal mind blamed the innocent being the west for state as is the mentality of those trapped in this vicious circle. the northerners and ewes have been right under our noses setting up this catastrophe in the hope of being the ones to exploit and plunder the wealth of the Akans with the help of satellite smaller or marginal groups such as the Gas , krobos and even some of the twi speakers . despite all the money these feudal societies may have such as saudi arabia they can never evolve into the 21st century and develop. yes we have people with doctorate degrees in political science , history or sociology example tony aidoo who is only concerned about how much money he can get but can not point out these grave dangers to his bosses. the greed , selfishness , corruption and backwardness are all fruits of this ethnocentrism and tribalism and ensure we never develop but keep them in power . Gaddafi , Saddam died because they refused to realize that the welbeing and prosperity of the people is a God given right and duty of every govt to secure for their people . they call us separatists and try and make their madness the norm but we know it will be over soon . vikileaks has shown what is the fate of Akans who foolishly think they belong , if she had been an ewe or northerner the crisis control strategy would have said it was a fake tape but instead she was thrown out in the cold to the wolves . a word top the wise , do not trust them or take them into your confidence , long live the republic of Akan

These embassies all over the world do not sustain themselves. Each single of them is supported from Accra -paying for rent, salaries and education for dependents.Look,if we Africans were serious people we will not create embassies all over the globe and spending monies we don’t have to support the staff. Especially in these days of technology a well-functioning website can do most of the request for passports and visas. Is just a complete drain on our economy with very little use for them?
We copied from the Western Countries and we're incapable of re-thinking and adopting policies which are good for our countries.
Another example is all the benefits given to senior government appointees -car with driver/petrol, accommodation, cooks etc., etc. The British were doing that because they were bringing their people to a foreign land to work as DCE's, Directors etc. and these people needed a local person to help with travelling, feeding. As soon as our people took over from them after independence, they have refused to change the system. So in Ghana right now the government (from Mahama's own mouth) spends 70% of revenue on workers. Now tell me, if you spend 70% of your pay on expenses, how much will be left for other things. And that is why nothing can get done in Ghana.
These embassies all need to go - leave about 10 in Europe,2 in North America,2 in South America,2 each in West,East,North and Southern Africa.
They serve no purpose other than as a gift to friends, cronies’ family and party members. Senseless.

Why announce the names as designate without their respective countries of accreditation? Is the President now sorting out the countries for them? If so, why the haste to make the appointment public? Many of them are either failed ministers, parliamentary candidates or other government appointees. I cannot believe they are going to represent Ghana abroad. I think career diplomats should be in arms against the desecration of their profession

In Ghana, the reverse seems to be the rule. This sort of action kills moral dead among career diplomats who have devoted their working life to the service of their country abroad, often under very difficult conditions. (I met many Ghanaian diplomats in various countries over the years. I felt sorry for them. Funds from Accra took ages to arrive. They looked miserable and dejected, frightened of their landlords and creditors.) What makes president Mahama believe that career diplomats are not fit for promotion to ambassadorship? It is highly unfair. For Ghanaian leaders, it is politics, politics, politics. No wonder we are where we are, and we will be here until the end of time!! I am mad!!!

What can Zita contribute if she meets foreign leaders and other savvy diplomats? They don't meet just to drink coffee and tea; they discuss serious social, economic, political, international and other issues. In these categories they touch on past, present and the project the future and the policies they (ambassadors) can prescribe or recommend to their respective countries.
What do these designees know?
