AUTHOR : SULE ---------------In the 8 years that the Kufuor administration was in power, the country went HIPC and the NPP gov't put in place the needed policies and programs as well as pragmatic social intervention programs, and they made it clear that, they were not going to deal with these Bretton woods institutions. The economy grew and as at the time the Kufuor gov't was leaving power in 2008, Ghana was rated as a lower middle income economy.
In comes the dimwitted NDC gov't, and the results are there for all to see. During the administration of Kufuor, the Bretton woods institutions were there, but they had to beg to get Kufuor's gov't to listen to them and what they had on offer.
The current situation is just like the 80's and 90's when we had the PNDC and NDC gov'ts.
It is an undisputable fact that, the P(NDC) gov't does not have the mental capacity, acuity and the requisite brain power as well as the drive to achieve anything. They are simply inept and grossly incompetent and this is an undisputable fact. Governance is a serious business not for dimwits and the earlier, we all came to terms with this basic fact, the better it would be for our socio-economic developmental agenda.

I share the concerns of both personalities in this economic tussle that NPP connot escape blame when it held the whole nation at ransom during the eight months long legal brainstorming particularly when they refuse to recognise the legitimacy of president Mahama at the time.Everybody including international community were apprehensive with some taking sides in our domestic affair.

Germany which always find itself at the wrong side of history sent their foreign secretary to meet with Nana Akufu Addo because they thought NPP was winning the legal tussle.How disappointed they were and continue to be.We are watching them to see how Germany will re-adjust to the current reality after all,politicians all over the World have several tongues in their mouth.

As to the issue of Ghc750,000 capacity building which jumped to GHc110,000 million, the reasons are not far fetch-election.As long as there is no clear cut policies governing campaign financing in Ghana,seating government will always cheat his way through.So let there be plane level field for campaign financing for all parties if we are serious about fighting corruption.

Talking about fighting corruption this is where we Ghanains are nothing but a butch of jokers or walking contradiction.We more even than not hijack the laws of the land from running their full circle on corrupt politicians.Let there be a high profile corruption case against any politician from either NDC or NPP and you will see the idiocy of some Ghanaians.This ought to be stopped if we are to be taking serious in the community of nations.A country whose laws are not working is as good as a jangle.

This guy came to the job offering no real vision for the nation, instead he only served up absolute nonsense - Ede be keke - which for some, loosely translates into just existing at the wheels, not knowing which direction to go. To add insult to injury, he is telling us that, like a car, he is only in the first gear in a four-year term, so we can expect to see a fourth gear only in the fourth year. To hear that allegory from a guy and a president who had been a vice-president for the previous four years, and claims that because of the ill-health of Atta Mess, he John Mahama was really the one in charge behind the scenes, then we have reasons to conclude nothing good or extraordinary can be expected that is different from what we have seen from the last four years. The value is going to be the same, and corruption is going to consume all of us under Mahama. Our people tell us, 'Edwa beso'a efiri anopa', to wit, one can gauge the prospects of a good market day from the signs the morning activities project. Right now the country is sinking fast from all reliable indicators. In the last four years, the cedi has depreciated a whole 100 percent under Mahama and Atta Mess. What other assurances are we waiting for? To be hit on the head with bricks?

Look, John Mahama is not cut for prime time, he does not know how, and all his protestations are excuses to cover incompetence and corruption in high places, of which him and his party are direct beneficiaries. What the fuck is Ede be keke? Nonsense!

The election petition was part of our democratic process. I bet the NDC knew they had been caught out, so when the petition popped up, they decided to mess the entire economy so that the incoming NPP adminstration would be blamed for the chaos. God so good, even though the truth stared everybody in the face, Atuguba and his clique collected bribes and ruled in favour of the government.
Mahama and his evil doers were taken aback by the decision. Though they had been onfirmed in power, their evil deeds were scaring them stiff. And that is what we are all seeing now.
Now they want to blame everyone else but themselves. The NPP has been out of government for 5 years, but the NDC failures keep putting every blame on the NPP! That is not acceptable. Deliver or find the exit immediately. Else the Rawlings' tragedy will revisit you one of these days!

It is almost certain that we all are blinded by our loyalty to party and therefore refuse to measure the impact of our actions on the economic performance of the country. How can it be a blessing when a country is brought to a still for almost eight months. How can it be a blessing for a party that had never accepted the results of an election unless it was in their favor. How can it be a blessing that even after the decision the NPP is still in arms about the verdict. If the courts are there and cant be use what is independence.
Blaming any political party means we dont have a supreme court. The court is our independence not the economy.
Six years of blaming one particular party dont make sense to any ghanaian. We want a better ghana not a better political party.
Its not NDC who is failing ghana but those they chose to be their leaders. People have court cases and still go about with their normal duties.

And this was again in the absence of oil, and also in the face of the global economic meltdown and if 5 years down the line, the NDC gov't headed by John Mahama and Amissah Arthur and his team, would want to attribute the economy fundamentals which is in the pits due to their legendary corruption, amazingly high levels of incompetence and their inimical mismanagement of the economy, which has sent the country back by about 3 decades, depicted by the shutting down of even the central air conditioning system at the whole Flagstaff house - the seat of gov't, Ghanaians have heard them and would make their voices heard resoundingly loud and clear in 2016.
