May I know which of the street lights that are going to be off? Tarkwa for example has street lights from Ahwetseso to Bogoso/Abosso Junction for the past 5 to 6 years with no lights.

Government should start using solar energy for our street lights. Although the initial investment is heavy it is cheaper in the long run. Government should encourage investors into the solar energy as a matter of urgency.
Government does not want to spend the money and secondly, they did do this on a new road from GIMPA to Dzorwulu. It was very nice. Then guess what happened...some thieves decided to steal the panels!!!

Why should Central Govt. pay for street lights? This is the responsibility of the Local Govt. Each Local Govt should pay it's part.

Which street lights are they talking about. Come to Kaneshie to Mallam junction and you will understand what I am talking about. Some street lights can't eve go off.
All Ghanaians with electricity are billed for street lights every month, (check every ECG bill) so where does that money go.
