How ever, that strategy play's off for Egypt after the end of the game won by 2 - 1 against Ghana, anyway, I have had a feeling that with a little joke we will be going home as early as possible if care is not taking. Ghana has been less favored to advanced to the nock out stage with a rate 5.8%, USA 9.5%, Portugal 9.8% and Germany with the highest rate of 75% to make it to the nock out stage, so therefore what must we have to proof? Nothing than to prove them wrong.

My dear Ghana Black Stars, we have huge task to break at the moment. We need to come together to imply dedication, courage, focusing, faith, no complacency and with excellent preparation the flag of Ghana and in other words the flag of Africa will raise again with praises in the continent we all love come next year June, 2014.

I have noticed that our players give way too easily to panic but as a Senegalese pointed out once, "the Black Stars have problem of periodic lack of focus and concentration otherwise they will always be the best in Africa!".

I have just listened to Klinsman who, though admitting the group is difficult, underestimate others. I know one thing, our team is going forward. We only need the team combination that faced Egypt in Kumasi.

First, the presence of lower ranked teams in a group. A summary of this measure is the sum of the number rankings of the teams in each group. Lower ranked teams in a group will lead to a higher sum and higher ranked teams in a group mean a lower sum. By this metric, the most difficult group will have the lowest sum of rankings or will have more higher ranked teams. The result of this metric is in the following table. The result shows Group G as the “Group of Death”.

And watching our games with Zambia in Kumasi and with Egypt in Cairo, our team's weaknesses were amply revealed. Our team lacks cohesion and focus---we've relied thus far, on individual brilliancy---and direction. I hope and pray that Coach Kwasi Appiah adopt a clearly defined system---the kind of play that exudes confidence, when the system has been perfected or near perfect and that which bonds our players in every single match. That telepathic understanding should begin manifest among our players.

Our defence line have done well to help concede less goals in our qualifying matches, but our most of them---probably except Harrison Afful---think that it's okay to blast the balls away anytime they're under pressure. That's not modern football. Most goal-scoring initiatives in a modern game is start from the defence line. Many of our players don't know what to do next with the ball after a move from the opposing team has been stopped!

Coach Appiah and his technical men have big task to accomplish before the big game in June, 2014. As I've always posted right here on Ghanaweb, we really have to work on the art of possessive football, with clever ball control and distribution. I'm not talking about "k3ky3" or "agoro" kind of ball many Ghanaians have grown used to. We must play as a unit in attack and in defence player for and supporting each other and a cohesive and flawless manner. That makes football delightful, esp. when we're able to punch holes in any team's defence (we'll have to learn how to back-heel passes, side-foot passes, ghost passes, defence-splitting passes, wall or pillar passes and lastly, defence splitting passes) ahead of the big game.

After taking some courses into the game in advanced football nations, our coaches will be up to the task---that I sincerely believe! Let's plan well ahead of the big game and with prayer total support we'll cause major upsets in the WC-2014 tournament in Brazil. We shouldn't be afraid of any group---none of them is easy---we must aim to beat any team that we face.

We must aim to win the Cup, if we believe in ourselves. But proper planning is key to success of everything. I wish GFA and the Black Stars all the best, not forgetting our Sports Ministry. Go Ghana go---the sky is the limit!

We need to understand that football is not played just by the "names" of countries; it is the CURRENT PLAYRES of the country that play the football. We've been drawn against Germany, Portugal and USA and so what? Yes, it's true that Germany has won the World Cup before but what has winning a previous trophy with different players, different Coach and under different conditions got to do with a 2014 tournament? Brazil has won the Cup several times but couldn't get anywhere in the last tournament. It is not Portugal, Germany and USA that are going to play; it's the PLAYERS of those countries. A country's name doesn't paly football; its the players. Our players play with or against a lot of the players who are citizens of these countries and thus those players are not superior to our players (Black Star players). Ronaldo and so what? Can anybody tell me it's only Ronaldo who is going to play for Portugal? Yes, he is skillful and he can score goals at any time but we also have good defenders. Playing at the club level is completely different from playing at the international level. For me, the ONLY problem we have is that WE DON'T HAVE A GOOD GOALKEEPER. Our number one Keeper is so messed up! Once we get a good keeper, we are good to go!

These came from how we were bombarded at church and the Queen was the Head of state of Ghana. Now the world is a village. Everything is in the open. Dr. Kwame Nkrumah and Mr. Ohene Gyan made soccer part of the psyche of Ghana. For example, in the sixties, if Kotoko lost a match in Kumasi, one would see a lot of FUFU in gutters the following morning- a week of mourning.
This is my take.....
1. Soccer is soccer. No median. Age, training and cohersion in teamwork are the keys to winning a match. No Jerusalem and the Queen in soccer these days.
