But did you not know that the project completely run out of money even before the end of Kuffour's term of office, because there were no efforts to mobilize and guarantee the full cost of the project. So the succeeding govt (Mills-Mahama) had to go look for additional funds from China to complete it. Its thinking like yours that drive govts to stop investing and completing projects began by preceding govts - because of mindless assertions that the latter one, should have no say or share in the success of the national endeavor because they did not initiate it. national development is a continuous process and everyone plays his/her part and then move on for others to also continue.

Please lets all think deep and think about Ghana - stop the blind politics for a change.

But since it's of a vital national interest, carried on with it for the benefit of the citizenry. Simply because, we don't want another white elephant looming un-cater for under our noses at the expense of the poor taxpayers. All in all, it's Ghana that benefited, not the NDC or the NPP, and all should be proud of this historic day and mark it as another achievement for the history books, period.

Another person who should be given credit on the dam is Mills. He did very well although he allowed Asiedu Nketiah to milk Ghana with his dirty blocks. Mahama did not do anything on the Bui dam because the funds were already there. He just happened to be the President at the time of its near completion.

What you are saying about Busia is not true because Your group of people opted for diesel plants to generate electricity.
It during Limans time that an effort nwas made to build the dam together with Ivory Coast. Plans were far ahead when the JJ´s coup happend nd the ivorians pulled out of the project hence the financiers also pulled the plug. I won't be suprise if the CEO of this Dam is related to The VP.They bear the same last name. Oh Ghana when? when will ordinary people like us get the same opportunities like the elites? The so called elites of our nation have all kinds of opprotunities thrown at them and their families and the poor competent ans smart poor farmer's son who graduated from Engineering school with distinction has to go and beg and in some circumstances grease the palms of this incompetent elites to be offered a job as a toilet cleaner. What a world we live in... God help the poor in my dear nation....

He became CEO of Bui Dam long before Amissah-Arthur became vice president.

With technology in the 21st Century dam building is a thing of the past.Ghanaians should think of the massive acres of lands that submerged under water caused by Akosombo dam and now we have Buim dam.
The problems caused by Akosombo dam to the people living under the dam is so shameful and Ghana government is doing nothing about it.VRA that was contracted to take care of the people under the agreement has turned blind eyes to their predicaments.
Why can`t Ghana government invest in solar energy,wind turbines and other means for energy when we are lucky to have the sun 24/7?
