I pray for continued cooperation between the police, City Guards, and Transport Associations to help drastically reduce the carnage on our roads. In Uganda, the first passenger to board a taxi or tro-tro is responsible for checking bad driving behavior s when they occur. If the passenger alights, the next passenger assumes command.

  What about the 15 that perished at Antado near Komenda Junction(Central Region)? This the worst statistics I have ever seen. I don't think the police have got the right apparatus to record and collate such fatalities. What a shame? Whatever being the case, we need to do more on roads to protect lives. Passengers should not sit in the cars idle whenever they sense danger. They should patiently advise the drivers with all respect and they will listen. My experience helped prevented an accident when the tyre of the vehicle we were travelling in busted a tyre. The car was wobbling so I ask the driver to slow down which he heeded. Just a mile way the tyre busted and the car rolled slowly to a halt. It could have been disastrous if it was travelling at a high speed.

  i blame ghana police for all this accidents happining, they dont do their work while they tahe bribes abd allow default car passby, if ghana police will come out without shame to say they proscuted only 4000 drives the whole ghana for one year we must know the police are not doing ghana good their corruption is costing accident in ghana roads, i continue to tell the IGP to check the mttu to do professional work to save everyday accidents

  Statistics umm yet u useless reporter hasnt confirm the cause of these tradegy's.Was it speed,drug or drink related or were these people learning to drive these killer vehicles
