Muhammad Ali would defeat you with his mouth way before he steps into the ring with whoever claims the opposing ticket. But, there is a catch, thus, Ali, didn’t just talk the talk, but box the talk to perfection and hence glorifying his cruel antics along the way with it. Now, to Mr. Loser, he knows the odds are stacked against him in his quest for the flag-bearer-ship in the party of his this time around.

Yet, he is trying his very best to keep all the potential aspirants in his own party at bay, by first of all, not making his intentions clear before them and second, employing Sir John to do the dance on the propaganda front on his behalf. Second, one presumes Owusu-Afriyie is suggesting that the electorate will choose Nana Addo at the polls, quite a daunting task and one which completely ignores the huge task the NPP leader (womever that turns out to be) has first to unite his party, review why they have lost two major national elections in a row properly to identify and address their real problems with the electorate.

He also forgets that the party will then have to organise itself properly, educate its foot soldiers and electoral agents in the ABC of monitoring and ensuring proper accountability and administration of the polls.

Owusu Afriyie completely ignores the opposition in his assertions and seems to talk as if the elections will only be between Nana Addo and "ten other candidates".

Finally he forgets that the electorate is becomeing more sophisticated and more knowing of parties, individuals, leaders and what they stand for plus their intentions. The electorate also prefers unitied parties and people of integrity (which Owusu Afriyie is not).

I hope Afriyie is not once again taking the Ghanaian electorate for granted in his sweeping comments. I have said (and repeat here) that he is both an embarrassment and a liability to the NPP and should be removed as general secretary for the party's own good.

I suggest you elect a general secretary who can be more structured in his approach in dealing with public relations. I fail to understand the reason for such overt nonsense. Politics although it doesn't always seem like it is a serious game. Please don't insult us with sycophantic nonsense that doesn't serve anybodies interest but yours. Even if within the party you prefer Nana, it is your duty as the General Secretary to be objective and show the general public that the NPP is open to free fair and transparent primaries. Another thing I would like to add in relation this is that, just because Nana is loved within NPP doesn't automatically make him the best candidate nationally. I say this because sometimes our judgement gets clouded based on how we feel about an individual and not see the big picture. Kufour/Rawlings might not be the smartest men but they were great leaders. Mills apparantly smart (worst leader ever). We need to put things in percpective and see the national appeal. I personally believe Nana would be the greatest leader Ghana has ever seen if he becomes President but we all don't have to attain that high office to make an impact. He can play the role of P.V Obeng and control literally everything.

What i have observed is that Sir John's position in the party and future is being theatened by someone hence, he is prepared not to go down fighting alone but, with the party.

If Sir John remains the General Secretary of NPP in 2016, the voters can rub salt into his and party's eye to prove to him who really matter in chosing leaders.

This outburst from Sir John has done an irrecoverable damage to NPP's fortunes in 2016. Voters will call his bluff to see what secret he and his party have, and how they will make Nana Akufo Addo President what come may.

John in his strong appeal for Nana to be given an overwhelming support his second chance.Given the respect and sympathy that Nana Akufo-Addo has gained in Ghana and most importantly the international respect that he commands due to the way he handled himself with the Supreme Court case, I seem to agree with Sir John in his solid stand for Nana for President. Even though I do not care so much for NPP because the way they handled themselves during Dr. Nkrumah's regime ( I was then young, 16years old) somehow, in my heart I have not forgiven them, but I think Nana carries the true and sincere burden to lead Ghana in a better way that these NDC folks.

If Sir John knows how his own brother/sister even his wife and children feel about him, he would be ashamed of himself and would not feature in any public gathering until he dies.

The secret is that Sir John when goes to bed before his closes the door, he is fast asleep. When get up from morning he doesn't was his face before eating. Sometimes Sir John wakes up midnight and eat. He eats left over fufu without even warming it. Sir John doesn't bath before going to office.
Sir John baths sometimes only when his wife takes time to heat water of about 150 degree.
Sir John has developmental problem. How and why he was elected to lead a big opposition part like NPP remains many questions. Sir John is not only a disgrace to himself and his family, but the entire Ghanaian politics and NPP in particular.
