Corruption in general is a broad word. I side with every Ghanaians anger and disappointment in corruption in the political arena. While we all disapprove of corruption and also maintain the perception that is more pronounced in the political circles and sometimes with evidences and the media's help, we must also trust that no matter how little every Ghanaian cheats the governance system or their fellow country men they are also corrupt and should stop despite the magnitude of it. Issues of corruption must be seen from the grassroots to the president. We can only push for political will to bring a change but dealing with corruption is every person's both moral and legal and not just politicians alone.

Well said, but the solution starts with people like you and me - those who bribe because that is where it begins. Now the difference between the individual and/or private corruption is that the politicians and civil servants abuse/pocket the monies/funds intended for national development. Contractors pay for contracts, take the money and disappear with nothing to show. Similarly, our politicians take this huge loans in the name of Ghana and have nothing to show for it after years (SADA, GYEEDA, Drill Ship, etc.). The civil/public service is no different, but the problem is that these are covered up by the same people we vote to handle our national development and affairs.

They look for every opportunity to add value whereas in Ghana, we look for every space and opportunity to downgrade the system or to fleece the system or to take advantage of the system”. Corruption has been our way of living from time and seems to be accepted right in our own faces.How can a country like Ghana work so hard only to put our proceeds in a basket with holes in them.

Learn these four facts:
a) How can we develop as a country when about 90% of the law enforcement agents like the police are corrupt. They are suppose to enforce the law,very shameful.

b)About 90% of our politicians are corrupt and they always thing they have been voted into power to prove their intelligence over us. One day they will pay for that.They always think its their time to dupe the state.

C) About 90% of the Judiciary are also corrupt, even though they are to help the law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order. Those who are doing this must also be ashamed and remember time will catch up with them soon.

d) Lastly about 90% of our citizens are also corrupt in their own way, yet they stand by and complain bitterly whereas we go to work and receive bribes here and there.

We can never get better unless we all accept there is a problem affecting our loving country that needs attention with immediate effect. Corruption must stop or else something
would happen in Ghana to bring that change which would cost us so much.

May God bless our country Ghana and its citizens and everyone that is helping to build a better Ghana for all.

There is corruption everywhere including the rich and the most powerful USA.The difference is that the laws in America are no respecter of persons.When one is caught in the anti-corruption net,and a Jury finds you guilty,the appropriate punishment is meted out to the culprit,not forgetting the astronomical defence attorney fees .Congressman Jefferson(Louisiana) is languishing in jail.Former Atlanta mayor,Bill Campbell, is in jail.Many more cases of corruption are in the pipeline.Everybody is afraid of the FBI.I have already suggested to John Mahama to (1).Strengthen the BNI and the Police CID through training and incentives(The FBI has the best men,both smart and physically strong.(2)The i-concur parliament should re-examine the anti-corruption laws,amend them and impose very severe penalties.(3).The Chief Justice should reform the judiciary and weed out the bearded goat, white turkey and envelopes judges and magistrates.(4).The IGP should reform the police force through training and reward.When John Mahama musters the courage to do the above,the problem will be solved.

Many doubt about the behaviour and illegal immigration of Chinese in Ghana. Our corrupted leaders are behind this.

Cooruption gives birth to lies!

Our corrupted leaders have no shame. The world laugh at African countries of not been able to succeed and think Africans are not clever. Our shameless leaders do not care about it. Some may say the individauls have to stop their personal corruption but leaders are role models. If they are doing it why wouldn't the civilian who even can't get his/her salary paid usually do the same?

It's time all politicians show that they love our mother land Ghana. Otherwise, they don't deserve to take part in politics or enjoy the fruits of the country.
