Persons who will not be selected as chiefs of their village, have become leaders of their countries and have plunged it into darkness, due to their inactivity or selfish policies. That is the problem: getting good leadership.

They couldn't have developed to the extent we see today without making their 'believes to work'. When they believe in something they corporate with their believes to ensure their desires are met.

They have managed to move the spiritual principles from the bible or religion into a body of constitution which develops human resources and maintains rule of law that are both of spiritual and physical values. In Africa we still keep our God and Believes in churches, mosque, etc away from constituted life governing principles where we needed our God or Believes most.

After studying the bible for so long they grasp the needed life development principles and after taking those principle out they do not need to occupy themselves with going to churches, praying, fasting, etc too much. In our case, we still can grasp the true principles let alone linking or applying them for a change.

Now, I can say that the main principle in religion be it Christian, Islam, etc is; JUST DEVELOP AND ENLIGHTEN THE HUMAN BEINGS AND ALL OTHER THINGS WILL COME UNDER THEIR FEET. Comrades, lets just find education system and lifestyle that teaches THINKing.

This so-called bishop is talking absolute rubbish. The problems of Africa have nothing to do with the spiritual realm but bad leadership, incompetency, impunity, corruption, selfishness, greed, etc. Just look at what is happening in Africa's newest state (South Sudan). How does spiritual matter play a part in the internal conflict which is the direct results of the egos of those in leadership who are jostling for positions in order not to better the conditions of their people but to loot the oil money?

Is this bishop really suggesting that God or whatever spirit he is referring to has cursed Africa? This blame mentality is actually part of Africa's problems. It allows the leaders to escape accountability and probity and get away with their loot.

Of course, what will a rich bishop say apart from preparing the grounds to make more money out of the ignorant? His claim is meant for people to go to him to seek spiritual solutions to their problems and in doing so reap in more donations. Is he being over-clever or overly clever? Shame unto him. Instead of inspirational message in the new year, he comes out with doom and trash as if he has no brains. Some of these Ghanaian so-called men of God are very shallow. Of course, they are part of the elite who steal from the people so he is protecting their theft with such illogical statements.

Africa’s problems lie in extortionist like Duncan Williams and his cohorts who tell their members to wait for heaven whilst they live affluent, lavish lives for their greed on earth has no frontiers. They justify their greed by invoking Malachi 3:10 but forget that Jesus who Christians follow died penniless. The New Testament nowhere commands, or even recommends, that Christians submit to a legalistic tithe system.

The last time we had any meaningful development plan in Ghana was in the era of the great Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. That was between 1960 and 1970 but that was short-circuited by a disgruntled few of the Mate Meho knaves who arrested our development in 1966. Those who fail to plan, plan to fail is not an overstatement. Greedy men like Duncan-Williams, Bempah, Otabil etc who hold our workforce hostage 24/7 for 365 days a year to fast and thereby letting them fall in hallucination and subsequent schizophrenia, schizotypal and delusional disorders are the bane of our progress. How can a country progress when more than her workforces are camping in churches? You create poverty and blame others for it.

Instead of these pseudo priests asking their members to work hard; they tell them that God will provide. God provides for those who work hard and are industrious. He who shall not work shall not eat the good old book says. As if progress like building infrastructures, schools, health centers, and basic amenities can be derived from spiritual powers. Such feats are accumulated through skills and proper planning. Prayers don’t build bridges, you need an architect to plan and execute it. Corruption in Africa is like an open sea, there is no horizon as where it ends. It is corruption everywhere you go even in the churches.

Instead of inept African leaders improving on their knowledge, skills and capabilities they run to charlatan pastors for divine help. God must be laughing at you laziness minds who each second invokes God’s name but turn the next corner to dupe your fellow Ghanaian/African. Africa is in no short supply of poor leadership who fail to plan because they are not there for the sake of the matter; their only goal is to fill their bottomless pockets. So it is not the lack of spirituality but the short supply of good leaders with good intentions who put their country first before their own self.

You cannot blame the internet because it is exposing the tricks you charlatans use to capture your members. For the lack of knowledge my people perish. The internet brings you vast amount of knowledge at a mouse click and enlightens those who are poor in knowledge. Our poverty and lack of progress is self-inflicted one. The industrial western nations lack spirituality but are advanced in knowledge.

Knowledge they say is power. The industrial west is based on knowledge economy. They don’t have the huge resources we have above our heads and under our feet in Africa but have vast repository of knowledge which they rely on to create wealth; thereby turning knowledge into power. You can therefore equate knowledge to money. No knowledge (know-how); no money. Period! What Africa lacks is practical knowledge i.e. the implementation of the knowledge we acquire. Duncan Williams you are so spiritually drunk in your self -righteousness that you think everybody needs a dose of your religious intoxication. What Africa needs today is an educated, humble, selfless, good leadership whose ambition is to better the lot of the people. Ghana / Africa First should be the motto any leader.

Until churches preach only positive things people will leave the churches. If churches dont have the solution to why people dont come these days, how will they have a solution for future generations.

"Very well, then," says God, "let us see if Jesus fared any better."

Jesus enters a command, and the screen comes to life in vivid display, the voices of an angelic choir pour forth from the speakers.

Eventually he drowned and when he met God he asked Him why he abandoned him. God said to him '' i sent you the rescue team, you refused to be helped, now what else did you want me to do'' ? It is time we help ourselves first, then ask for God's guidance than to fold our arms and expect manna to fall from heaven. Heaven helps those who help themselves. We spend whole days in church praying instead of doing something meaningful and expect our woes to be solved by God. Don't blame Satan for our own failures, corruption and greed. Our presidents and most of his minister, the counsel of elders will not speak the truth. what does the counsel of elders do are they themselves men of integrity. I believe their job is to tell the truth to the president and ministers no matter how better the truth may sound. We have young men in our society who use blood money to buy big cars and no one is questioning them how much tax they pay to the Government to be driving this cars our institutions that are supposed to checking on corrupt practices are corrupt themselves. The independence of Ghana is meaningless unless it is linked up with the total liberation of the mind. Ghana will not move forward when people could sell their vote for a bowl of gari and suffer later or a pot of pito or Ghc10. It must come to a time when only the tax payer will have to vote to choose the leaders of the land.If one is not working he or she must not vote if he is not contributing any thing to building of our nation he or she most not vote. Take China, Malaysia or the US for example; these countries are not holier than Africa. Africans could even be said to know God more than them but they are more successful in the things of this world than Africa. Ghana alone has more prophets and prophetesses than what is in the entire bible.
Success on this earth is based on irrevocable natural laws of discipline and order and whoever adheres to them, even if he/she is an atheist, will succeed. Anybody who has traveled out of this country to any of the more successful countries will clearly see that we Ghanaians are a disorderly people not concerned about national interests. Our laws are just in the books - they don't work. Last time, I heard someone remarking that when she went to Dubai, she was surprised to see that no shop in Dubai would accept payment for its goods with the dollar - that is, if you have the dollar you must first change it into the local currency before you can use it in Dubai. This is just one little aspect of discipline and order in the direction of national interest.
Our main problem as a people is indiscipline and disorder and no passion for national interest. That is what manifests in everybody taking advantage of his/her position to unduly enrich him/herself at the expense of the nation. Everybody pursues his/her parochial interest.
We should not confuse things of this earth and things of heaven even though they have some link. For instance, praying and fasting can help a person build treasures in heaven but not on this earth. It is possible to go to heaven even as a Lazarus (poorest of the poor) or as an Abraham (richest of the rich).
Historically, nobody has committed atrocities and crimes against humanity and God more than Europeans but what has made them successful in things of this earth is their love for their countries. When they illegally and wickedly trafficked millions of Africans into slavery, they did it for the sake of their countries. When they colonised Africa, plundered and looted its rich resources, they did it for the sake of their countries. We think in terms of ourselves and loved ones only and that is where the difference is.

Now we hear some of your own congregation members and even products of your own bible school are following your example and abandoning their marriages and running after other women.What sort of leadership is that pastor? I remember many many years ago this cery same Duncan-Williams vehemently preaching against divorce and the need for "complete obedience to God" in the matter.Obviously like so many "men of God" in Ghana, when their fleshly desires and appetites gets the better of them the conveniently put aside Biblical Injunctions and cobble together any number of reasons why they should abandon their spouses. We are given ONLY 3% of the value of our GOLD,by foreign mining companies,yet many governments have come,and never used their brains to change the system,so they could start to process it,though the gold is needed in the world market.
I can hardly understand,why GHANA,being the 8TH IN GOLD PRODUCTION IN THE WORLD,no GHANAIAN HAS ANY GOLD/JEWELLERY STORE OPERATION abroad.
This is just a gist of the reason why we are still poor,unfortunate,uncelebrated and not rewarded.
Your difference will always create an aura,atmosphere,energy where people will desire,celebrate,and therefore reward you(receive pay).
Example:

The same holy spirit who grants the gift of healing, speaking in tongues, profecy and word of knowledge also gives wisdom, knowledge, strength among others . People have prayed for Ghana all these years and gone to church but we have little to show.Our major problem is bad leadership which includes greedy, selfish and timid Christian an other religious leaders who don't tell leaders and their congregations the truth. A people with the wrong attitude and laws that don't work because leadership does not put in the necessary steps to make them work and the people with bad attitude like it that way. Because religious leaders are comfortable they don't talk or they make general sweeping statements rather than confronting the wrong of leadership in government of the day. God gives wisdom to th right leadership which requires faith, boldness , selflessness and the desire to make things better. Every problem anywhere is spiritual but it takes spiritual wisdom to solve.
