This Fortiz/Merchant bank deal deal from all indications is putrid, it stinks to the high heavens and nothing can justify such an atrocious deal, when Ghanaian taxpayers, from all indications are not getting any VALUE FOR MONEY in this stinking deal. Omane Boamah, MD should seek to explain why an equity firm which cannot even boast of the asset base to even acquire a non-financial banking license, should be made to take on this onerous task of not even a merger, but a full complete acquisition of Merchant bank, when Ghanaian taxpayers, have been offered far, far better VALUE FOR MONEY propositions from identifiable bodies with a portfolio of assets eclipsing over 100 billion dollars? It is indeed mindboggling the level of impunity and recklessness which has been unleashed on the affairs on governance by this NDC gov't. Ghana indeed deserves better than this recklessness which is permeating all facets of governance in this country. It's awfully pathetic.

our so called fake president and his idiotic fools continue to display to the whole world their incompetence and stupidity. he goes running around looking for investors or money when all it takes is prudent and sound macroeconomic policy implementation. we shall list a few examples so its even clear to the sick warped minded ndc agent provocateurs here. we borrow billions to procure finished products or give the juiciest parts of contracts to foreigners instead of just taking a little effort and organize our economy better. instead of building modern 100 meter fishing boats for our fishermen , manufacturing our own tractors for our farmers , mining equipment and trucks for galamsay miners and so on . we choose to import 2 thirds of our fish requirement , hand over these gold and other mineral concessions to foreigners who dont invest in our economy , deny the farmers the over half a million tractors and other agric mechanization needed because are leaders are too selfish and lazy to take the well-being of our people to heart . instead of encouraging and facilitating the return of our diaspora so they give our ailing economy the boost and capital we can surely count on , we treat them dirt and frustrate them so much that most return . they would rather have Chinese , Arab/Muslim money as there they get a kickback. they can not understand the need to unite all potentials in order to attain development , industrialization and new 21st century jobs for OUR own people , rather prefer that we import everything and keep our people in poverty as in their wicked hearts saturated and drenched with hatred of the Akans , hegemony , tribalism , favoritism and material greed. the only consolation we have is that today our people now see very clearly what these political impostors are all about and are getting more and more determined to get rid of them either by war or a revolution. all the institutions of the state have failed us including the judiciary , parliament . they have secured a privileged status for themselves and deny the majority free education although its within our reach as a 20 pesewa levy on petrol would secure the funds for this in less than 6 months so its started now and not vaguely postponed to the indefinite future . how can these fools think we should sit aside and applaud their non action ? we live in this purgatory of despair and now they want to force down our throats gay sodomizing perverse morals as their ideal . each day they continue with this jolly ride of profound stupidity they earn our deeper resentment and hate of their actions . our day will come soon , long live the republic of Akan

How could the leadership of the minority in parliament conclude that they will take the Merchant Bank sale to CHRAJ and expect CHRAJ to take up their complaint when the matter is still pending at the court and after the Speaker had thrown out their motion on the matter for the same reason? How do they expect CHRAJ to investigate a matter before the court even if Parliament would not do so? Is that not bizarre or irrational?

Is this really the party of rule of law and full of lawyers? Though they have a good cause their approach could suggest that there is more to it than meets the eye. The only option left to them is either going to court or wait till the court case is over and complain to CHRAJ. They are behaving as amateurs. Very disappointing.

Your Rawlings and those fools in Ndc sold 30% of GT to Telecom Malay for $45 million and contracted them to manage GT and further sale of more percentage to them. They were tasked to provide certain amount of landlines within certain time which they failed to do.

President Kuffour bought back the 30% share owned by TM for $110 million dollars four years earlier, Rawlings had sold it for $45 million. Ghana Telecom at that time was on the verge of total collapse haven lost money continuously for five years due to poor management as usual.

President Kuffour sold 75% of GT for $991 million. Compare the amount the 75% sold for to what Rawlings sold 30% for and you will realise that, Kuffour sold 30% for $400 million whilst Rawlings gave away the same 30% for $45 million but you ndc denizens lack intelligence to realise the ingenuity of President Kuffour's maneuvering in buying back that 30% dumb Rawlings gave away for a song.

The Fortiz consortium is made up of NDC members. The merchant bank biggest debtor is the president's brother, the lawyer brokering the deal for the presidents brother, Fortiz and merchant bank is the presidents lawyer. But for politics who in his right senses would support such blatant creating looting and sharing apart from twisted minded people like you CK?

In the same way i condemed Jake for buying a govt bungalow on the cheap albeit he did not break any laws, it was driven by greed, in the same way i will condem this day light robbery. These are the sort of actions that gives reasons for people like Rawlings to overthrow a Govt.

Selling Ghana Telecom which was losing money every year because ndc government previously mismanaged the company actually saved the government the burden of paying the wages and salaries of the 6000 workers which could have cost the government close to $50 million in salaries alone.

Now Vodafone, formerly Ghana Telecom is running efficiently with just 2700 workers and making profit which the Ghana government is benefiting with its 25% share.

GT was overstaffed like many government agencies and companies and draining the resources of our country.

Ghana Airways was already destroyed when ndc was leaving office in January 2001.

It was a wise decision for K4 to sell the Ghana telecom and Ghana Airways for complete ineficiency and corruption in both state proud institutions.Ghana Airways from its inception had been overburdened on Government and had to be bailed out financialy every year to enable it stand on its feet even from Dr Nkrumah,s time through to the time of its sale, was bedeviled with mismanagement with some of its staff taken the company as their personal property and were transporting private parsengers abroad and pocketing the proceeds,this and other underground dealings which made the company vunerable to colapse.We are all witnesses when the Ghana Airways was arrested in Dakar for failing to pay its debts owed a company. To the Ghana Telecom,it was evedently clear the stealing of important registered pacells and envelopes containing money or documents by the staff to the disadventage of the senders especially from relations in diaspora thanks to Rawlings who stopped it for a while and began to thrive again when they saw that his so called revolution had lost its identity. It was therefore very good news for the diasporians to hear that the P and T had been sold out to private hands.It was rather a bold and wise political decision for K4 to sell these companies to avoid over burden on Government finances which came from our tax deductions.

Meanwhile it is impossible to display an iota of spirit of selflesness or honesty in any public forum of discussion by those who either have power to change or save the nation from running downhill. God help us !

We are undoubtedly carving a place in history, a shameful era punctuated by serious leadership lapses and lack of critical thinkers.

Our parliament, courts, and executive institutions are mere paradigms sharing cognitive framework of mind to serve their personal and family interests and to hell with the national.

It is with regret but safe to conclude that we are becoming a country of idiots. Unless we stand up with our heads erect to save this nation by altering the trend we are bound to slip into the worst of conditions usually reserved for idiots.

A first year law student knows that once a case is in court to be adjudicated, there is no way parliament or any other body can be investigating or sitting on the same issue.

I bet any one to this basic fact that the NPP members in parliament know that this case is going no where once it is in court and they just want to waste every body's time or they are so passionate about their hatred for the current president they have lost their sense of decency and sanity.

I am not going to predict, but if the case before the court is what they are petitioning the CHRAJ over then the case is dead on arrival(DOA)

The "common" man in the street, the unlearned, illiterate and unschooled are loosing interest in the legislature due to how key legal issues that has confronted it for some few years now has been handled - Judgement passed on some of these cases and how pending issues are discussed in courts do not make "sense" to the "common" Ghanian. It is time the Chief Justice and her Attorney come out to explain how some ruling are done. In fact their ruling must be written in simple language for the "common" Ghanaian to understand and if it is possible press conferences should be allowed to address some of these issues. I trust something will be done about that for we are in the dark.

Governments also often deflect public criticism by touting their record of fighting corruption as better than the previous regime.

But Reverend Professor Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mantey condemned the tendency as childish. He compared it to a student placing 35th in a class of 40 showing off his position as better than the last five.

He also lashed out at “ugly frivolous lifestyles” of some pastors who have developed a taste of “worldly things” like cars, houses, designer clothing, rings and perfumes.

“Frankly speaking, ministry is going bizarre,” he ranted
