If the colleges are to become tertiary institutions, then nobody needs to feed them. They are old enough to feed themselves. If this is replaced by loans, will students have their loans before schools re-open? Again, some students may want to stay outside campus. Then, since the money given them shall be loans with some interest, they cannot be posted to areas they don't want to work at. That then will be a fair deal.

TEACHER EDUCATION IN GHANA IS TOO CENTRALISED. UNLESS ONE GOES TO A TEACHER TRAINING COLLEGE ONE CANNOT TRAIN AS A TEACHER. THE SYSTEM SHOULD BE DECENTRALISED SO THAT ONE CAN GAIN TEACHER EDUCATION IN ANY OF THE POLYTECHNICS BEING CONVERTED INTO TECHNICAL UNIVERSITIES AND THE UNIVERSITIES SHOULD ALSO OFFER COURSES IN DIPLOMA IN TEACHER EDUCATION.

Where in the world would people look for anything free? Anything free can never be good, trust me. Even the richest countries in the world have nothing free. Free education proposed by some people cannot be free. It is either paid by high taxes unknowingly by the people, stolen from the people, or cocaine money. When Dr. Nkrumah introduced free education, we were only six million in population and had a lot of money from gold timber, bauxite, and other minerals. We didn't have so much debt then. Therefore, free education was possible, but not now, otherwise, there will be a time the nation will go broke, and our situation will be worse than now. Let us plan towards better education by managing our resources well.

I think its gud to enrol more but what recources are they going to use in catering for themselves so we want the government to take the cost of the feeding fees so that their burdens will be off loaded
