I have often argued that these tall and wired walls like prisons scattered around Ghana provide only a false sense of security. Any serious criminal will find his way into any of such homes if they want to. Once they get in there, you are at his mercy as none of those ordinary citizens outside those walls can come in and save you. Tear down the walls, provide better street lighting and make Ghana not only more save but more beautiful.

The tall walls are taking away the aesthetics of those beautiful architecture springing up in Ghana and they are saving nobody.

When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: "Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!"

This is called "Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do!

When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): "Big brother, let's count how much we got."

The older robber rebutted and said: "You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!"

This is called "Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications!

After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: "Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”.

This is called "Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage!
The supervisor says: "It will be good if there is a robbery every month."

This is called "Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job.

The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. In my opinion, this is not news worthy of immediate publication for two reasons. First, it could compromise with the investigation which we are told is on-going.Second, it could give impetus to armed robbers to target other MPs and government officials given the large sums of money we are told was in the house, allegedly for a project.

The MP ignorantly disclosed in great detail how the robbers broke into his house and the equipment they used.This is unfortunate.Given how secured i suppose the doors to the house of an MP will be, the MP has by his detail disclusure of how his room was broken into given other criminals clues as to how to break more secured houses and rooms in Ghana.It is a sad day for me because the publication puts us all at risk.

Home owners should know that accordion burglar proof window gates that can be opened from the inside, are a much better option than permanent steel bars on windows, if a fire or an armed robbery is in progress, occupants can slide open an accordion security gate and escape, rather than being trapped in a room with permanent window bars.

Absolutely no one should be a victim of any type of robbery, home invasions are among the most humiliating experience any family can face, anyone who condones robbery, is either a thief or a potential robber. The phrase: "no honor among thieves," is clearly demonstrated in this case, where one thief pocketed the stolen money and didn't inform the others, who were supposed to be his partners in crime.

Thieves do not discriminate, Beloveds, please do not wish evil to befall Ghanaian families for any reason at all, because the evil that you so callously wish upon someone else, may very well visit upon you when you least expect it.

My heartfelt sympathy to the Honorable MP, his courageous wife and the rest of his family, I'm glad that they were not physically hurt.
