Ghana under our democratic dispensation is certainly not a jungle state like the animal farm where any baboon can just wake up and give orders to cancel legally signed contracts with entities for the senseless reason that such contracts were signed under a previous government.
Definitely the cancelling of such legally signed contracts will come back haunting the nation and we should be prepared for yet another unpalatable settlement debt payments that will cost the nation hugely.
The problem with GYEEDA under the unscrupulous criminally corrupt NDC political novices is not about the contracts signed but about the criminal management appointees of the Mahama led Korle lagoon stinky corrupt government where crime and corruption is officially a recognized institution.
NDC is just setting traps and loop holes for another debt settlements payment to put money into pockets of party cronies for no work done.

It is foolhardy to enter into a valid contract and then abrogate it.The indiscriminate cancellation of valid contracts suggests to me that those who signed those contracts either did not know what they were doing or they did not employ any due diligence methods.
Indiscriminate cancellation of valid contracts undermines confidence in entering into contracts in Ghana. It can have a negative effect on investment in Ghana.
Instead of relying on abrogation why not inculcate safeguard clauses into the contract the breach of which automatically nullify the contract?
Where prepayment of part of the contract is warranted, why don't they ask for PERFORMANCE BONDS from the party at the receiving end so that when there is non-performance proceeds of the bond will be applied to settle the prepaid amount?
