  Innovation also includes using existing technology in NOVEL ways.
  Take the case of the small company called NEST which was recently bought by Google for a mind-boggling 3 billion dollars.
  
  They took a simple household item, the thermostat, and transformed it into one of the smartest contraption we have seen in recent times.
  
  Thermostats have been around in homes all over the world for almost a century. But Tony Fadell of NEST, created a thermostat that can sense when nobody is in the house, can learn from how the thermostat is used from day to day, can check from the internet the weather forecast and keep the house warm before the owner arrives, and most fascinating of all, can allow the owner to check the house temperature from anywhere in the world using just a smartphone (the owner can also remotely change the thermostat settings using the smartphone).

  I think such projects should be supported by the goverment to improve sanitary conditions in the country, if approx. 60% of our waste products can be recycled.

  It depends upon the government of the moment or of the day and how it priorities the innovative idea. If you have a visionless people holding on to power of government, how can this become reality? Look around and no body will tell you that trash, garbage and filth is a big problem to cope with and it is engulfing us. A pragmatic leadership will see this innovative idea and call for action on same. If it is true that some countries have already adopted and persuing the finding, what prevents us to do same?.

  As far as nkonfem and barbering is Mahama priority and technological advancing which he allegic to will not see the important of harvest fuel from plastics which will help clean or reduce plastic waste from the cities but also to benefit us and create jobs not will not motivate Mahama to support this research and to train interest youth on this profession but nkonfem and barbering is what motive him.President Kufour fail to acknowledge the importance of technology to make Ghana great and strong and fail to acknowedge Apostle Safo technological genuinety.And Mahama is soo blind that supporting technology is allegic to him but supporting nkonfem barbering is his passion and priority.

  The raw material for the production of fuel energy can be found at TOR, Tema. Why is Tema not converting the gases (used for plastic manufacturing) into more fuel energy ?
